I have had nothing but trouble with this vacuum. 2 belts broke brand new. Didn't even get to use it before it was smoking and rubber melted all around. I have had so much trouble with every aspect of this vacuum. NEVER HAVE I EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCT! ONLY DIRT DEVIL IS THE PROBLEM. Of course like others I can not afford to buy another vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi unsatisfied101,
If your belts break that quickly, you may want to check your height adjustment. Just start at the highest setting, pull the handle back and lower the dial until the brushroll barely touches the carpet. If the brushroll is too close to the carpet, it could put undue stress on the belt and it will snap. If you believe the height isn't the problem, please email John.Hitch@ttifloorcare.com so we can provide further assistance.
