I bought a new home and this product was pre-installed. Coming from a gas stove, I thought I'd never get used to it, but I adapted super quick. Boils water so quickly and cleans so easily. Sometimes it is challenging seeing the burners but overall, I love it.

Love the speed

I just love how quickly everything comes to heat, and how quickly it responds when adjusting the heat. I wish the outside silver rim was more durable. It looks like it could get scratched very easily. Otherwise an outstanding product.

Feeling let down

Bought this a couple of weeks and I'm hoping I start to like it more than i do now. The pans have to be the same size as the burner in order to cook very well. Seems that I have to have the temp set very high to get much heat going. You can barely tell where the burners are and if the pan isn't exactly on it things won't cook well. My husband convinced me to get this one and it was much more expensive than a normal electric cooktop - then you have to buy new pans so it will work. Wishing I hadn't listened to him. Don't have much choice now though do I?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Third one in 10 years

The home we just purchased 9 months ago had the GE Profile Induction cook top in the home. It went out so I contacted the person we bought the home from, they said it was the 2nd one in the home as the first one died and had to be replaced under warranty. They gave me the paper work to support this. That makes the first one less than 5 years old and then the second one
about six years old. Our island is set up for this cook top with the built in down draft so we are now looking at purchasing a third GE Profile Induction cook top. We will get the 5 year warranty but looks like we are taking a high risk in the quality of these cook tops.

The cooktop took a little getting used to, but it does a great job and meets our expectations. It's installed in our island and looks fabulous and we really appreciate the lock button when not in use.

I am enjoying the speed with which I can prepare meals with this cooktop. To boil water for cooking spaghetti or corn on the cob is amazingly fast. I like that the burners are never hot and the cleanup is a snap.
