Induction cooking is fantastic

First taste of induction cooking and it is far better than radiant electric and even gas cooking. Love the intermediate heat settings and the minimal time required for the elements to heat, and especially the almost instantaneous cool off when going from boiling to simmer.

Very efficient

The cooktop seems very efficient, I love that it only heats up under the pan and is super fast. I really like that the buttons are embedded in the top...they are a little touchy...you have to be sure not to set anything on them. The only complaint is that it is already cracked on the edge...so I would recommend that you get the edging strip. GE is fixing it so should be OK.

LOVE IT! BUT...

Next Time:
1. Increase the "difference/variation" in the burner color and the stovetop color. Currently, it can be difficult to see where the pot is or isn't.
2. The location of the Timer is counterintuitive. We (those who cook) think of all burner controls together. If there is a timer, it is set apart from the burners.

I love my new induction stove top. I have been researching the induction technology for several years. In my opinion induction is superior, both in its simplicity and in its energy efficiency, to any other heating method.
So, when my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen the choice to move to induction cooking was already well made. We researched the market for induction products and were soon convinced the GE Profile was the best piece of equipment among a wide range of price points. We have not be disappointed. Our GE Profile induction stove top is simply the coolest thing going! Sleek and stylish, very easy to learn, and remarkably fun to cook on. I highly recommend this product.

GE Profile 30" Induction Cooktop Rocks!!

I was exposed to induction cooktops in Europe, and had not seen many in the USA, but decided to see what was available. We found several makes, but because of the design and features, we chose the GE Profile, and we are very glad we did. It was easy to install, it works great, and it has really made our kitchen look much more attractive.

Fast Boil

We love this cooktop. We always had gas stoves/ovens. We are sold completely on this induction cooktop inspite of having to buy new pots & pans. It boils water quicker than gas. Keeps even temps and cools to touch within 5 or so minutes.
