GE INDUCTION COOKING IS AMAZING.

I did a great deal of research before purchasing an induction cooktop and am so glad I chose the GE! It fit PERFECTLY into our granite counter cut-out where our 20+year old GE electric smooth-top had been. Our old cooktop was working fine, but I had heard so many raves that I just knew I wanted induction and figured, at my age, why wait? It makes cooking so much fun - so fast and responsive - and gave me the opportunity to get all new cookware. From frying an egg to boiling a big pot of water for pasta to sauteing veal marsala, I am so happy with my choice.

Love this cooktop, the ONLY thing I wish GE would rethink is making the circles for the burners a slightly lighter color as it is hard to see where the burner is at times.

Love induction and this is the best 30" available

This is out second GE Induction cooktop. We loved our first one (the model without the stainless steel rim) but we dropped a pot on the edge of that one that eventually grew to a crack extending through one of the burners. So we got smart this time and got the same GE quality but with the stainless band. This one also has more visual definition of the burners that, while it isn't the sleek black of our earlier model, makes it easier to see when you have moved your pan off-center of the burner while cooking.

Induction adjustments

We read tons of reviews before buying this, and had to accept the warnings with the kudos. We do love the responsiveness and the clean sleek profile of the induction cooktop. On the downside, we find the touch/tap controls to be more persnickety than we'd hoped. The system does not like wet or greasy fingertips -- now how do you avoid that while cooking!? We also leave fingerprints on our beautiful cooktop, simply trying to start the tea kettle... We are also still in search of the perfect large, non-stick induction skillet, as we really miss that item from our conventional cookware set.
