LOVE my new induction cook top!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just moved into new home and we have the Induction cook top and love it. It is easy to use and fast! So far, it has been easy clean up too. Looks great on our granite counter top. Love G. E. products....my whole Kitchen is G. E. Profile in stainless and it makes our kitchen look awesome!

I did a test with 2 qt. of water to a boil and the old cooktop took 14 1/2 minutes and the new GE induction cooktop took just 5 3/4 minutes. WOW!!

Fantastic Appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This induction cooktop has revolutionized my cooking! It saves me many hours while performing routine cooking tasks such as in sauce making, hard cooking eggs, caramelizing onions; anything one could think of. It's quick, foods do not burn, and it cleans beautifully. My electric cooktop had to be cleaned with Cerama Brite after each use requiring elbow greece much of the time. With my new induction, IF it needs cleaning (when spatters occur), all I do is clean with soapy water, wipe down with a sponge, and dry with a paper towel. Foods do not burn when there's a spillover since the element is not hot! Plus all of the pans I previously had work very well, even when I have to use a smaller pan on a larger unit, something that concerned me prior to my purchase.
So sorry I waited so long to spend a little more money and "take the plunge" to this method of cooking. Oh, and to melt something that cannot heat up, just place the container into a simmering pot of water.
This is the BEST appliance I've ever had (except for a microwave, of course). It's like using gas when cooking electrically. Instant heat OFF when unit is turned off.
The GE Induction cooktop receives my highest endorsement, and I'm a senior citizen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dead after 5 years 3 months. I bought an extended warranty for 5 years. Dead. This is an extremely expensive stove. GE should offer more to its customers.

Having small "burner" in back squeezed between where larger pots go makes it about useless. Also, although in the picture looks like "burners" are easily seen, when looking at at cooking level, very hard to tell where cooking areas are. Have always wished there was a white circle or something that made each easier to find as will give error signal if not centrally placed over cooking area. Boils quickly but would never get induction again as it is hard to find pans that work on it. Had to give up some very good pots and pans and sizes that cannot find in induction compatible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this in 2014. Within a year, we saw issues. The cooktop did not boil water any quicker than a standard electric cooktop. We could not use more than 2 burners at a time without the heat going down or one of the burners turning off. A year ago 2 of the burners went out completely. We’ve had electricians look at the power supply multiple times... the issue is with the cooktop. A month ago the next two burners went out. It is completely unusable. Do not buy this model.

We remodeled our kitchen 9 months ago and after much reserch decided to go with an induction cook top. We love it! I have so much more control than with a gas or regular electric. It heats the pan RIGHT NOW! Makes cooking pasta a dream. It doesn't heat up my kitchen like a regular stove(huge considering we live in Phoenix AZ) It looks beautiful on top of my granit counter top as well. I just can't say enough good about it. I will never go with a gas or electric stove again!!!! Nice job GE!

I love this cooktop. Always wanted gas to cook on, but after seeing Mr. Brown use it on the GE site I had to try it.
