SO DISAPPOINTED. BOUGHT THE GE PROFILE STOVE AND MICROWAVE. IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS, SMELLED ELECTRICAL BURNING AND QUIT. ALREADY REPLACED TOP AIR VENT 3 TIMES BEFORE THIS. LOVED IT WHILE IT WAS WORKING.

We've only had this microwave for 3 years and now totally dead. The thermal magnetron fuse needing replacement (wasn't even being overused) Terrible product !!

4 Year old and now only works intermittently

We remodeled the kitchen and selected this microwave and a matching stove/double oven. Now the microwave fan comes on when the door is opened, and it only actually works now and then. I'm afraid we'll have to replace it after 4 years. I would not recommend this product.

10 Years and Done!

Appliances shouldn't die after 10 years. After reading other reviews I guess I should be lucky it lasted that long. Refrigerator and dishwasher were purchased at the same time and both have issues which occurred within months of the microwave dying.

Worked well for over 4 years

Unit failed (out of warenty period) after 4 years of use and repair cost was more than purchasing a new GE Microwave on sale. I wish old unit was still with us. The printing on the control buttons was easy to see in any light level.

Light bulb changing

GE needs to improve access to light bulbs on this microwave. Accessing the bulbs under the microwave, you have to remove a screw ( caution! This screw does not stay attached). How about just a snap close lens. And changing those bulbs are a joke! The plugs! You can’t see where to put the bulbs in without a mirror because they’re installed BACKWARDS! That’s right the bulb outlets face the wall. I literally lay on my counter top with a mirror to put these bulbs in. The design sucks!

Moving vent parts started to disintegrate, as in little pieces of plastic fall off and the entire unit falls askew. We have it taped on with electrical tape. You can't see the digital readout any more. New vent piece too expensive to consider replacing. Not happy. This should have lasted much longer!
