WORST GE Product

We bought this Microwave to replace a similar one that stopped working after 3 years and we were hoping that this one lasts atleast as long as the earlier one but this stopped working exactly 18 Months after we bought it. The unit was working one minute and then it just stopped...Now nothing on the microwave works...no power into the pannel, the vent does not work nor the light work when we open the door.
A total waste of money. Pathetic quality of workmanship and am surprised that GE builds such a product.

Terrible Craftsmanship

Bought all new GE Profile appliances for kitchen remodel in the fall of 2010 and wish we had gone with another brand. This microwave is falling apart. Plastic clips for vent have broken on one side door latch broken. Will never purchase a GE appliance again.

Terrible quality, especially considering price

Have had the microwave for ~3 years and it quit working entirely (shut itself off). For a short time ~ 2 weeks, the microwave would shut itself off after or during use and would power back on after some time (not a fuse issue). Extremely low quality product, especially when considering the price of this appliance. Hoping all of our GE profile appliances don't follow suit.

Won't buy GE Profile again!!

This will be the second GE profile microwave we have to replace. Both lasted about 4 years. This one just stopped heating!! I'm so disgusted. Bought all new appliances when we built our house 8 years ago. ALL GE Profile. In that time we have replaced our dryer, refrigerator and now 2 microwaves. Definitely will not buy again!

Microwave used in home less than three years and now doesn't work. Problems began within the first year with fan staying on when door was opened. No it won't work at all. I'll never buy GE again.

This microwave came with our new house and looked great until it stopped working. Not impressed with the Ge Profile!

Very disappointed

The unit broke after 4 years of part/time usage as I am a snow bird in Florida. I would assume that an "up-graded" model such as this would have a long life expectancy. Fixing the unit is out of the question with the cost of labor and parts.

Like others have said, it just stopped heating. And the thing that really stinks is it matches my oven, so now I either have get this same one or have the appliance not match.
