Great purchase

I think it makes excellent copies.
It sends faxes perfectly. The price was great.
Having a little trouble recieving faxes though.
I believe it's probably operator error. Somethings not set up right. Still working on it.

It prints ok. The accompanying software is terrible. The fax works when you intend to use it. It can occassionally cause problems with your phone calls. The scanner isn't good at capturing color variations. Use a black pen or heavy pen stokes when writting if you plan on scanning something you write.
Pros: durable, reliable
Cons: Large Footprint, Difficult to use, software

Biggest waste of money in my life

This printer is constantly jamming, envelopes will virtually not print AT ALL, and the ink costs a black land farm. It is basically a piece of trash and I will NEVER buy another Canon product because of my negative experience with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall a very good printer with all the requisite features.
HOWEVER, ink usage, ink replacement costs make it very expensive and inconvenient. Because of this, I cannot recommend this printer

This is a good printer for me. I like the easy way it scans to a mail program. Great for a novice like me.
I'd like to see it aline print heads on a auto program but it works ok.

I bought this to replace another printer that did not last but a year. I have had Cannon printers before and don't know why I didn't buy one last time. This one was easy to set up and worked right off the bat. How easy and great price too. Everyone must thinkso since I had to shop multiple stores to find one. I chose this one over the others for the price of the ink it is really much more reasonable than the other brands, and in the past it has lasted quite a long time. Easy and reliable, just what I needed and wanted. Thanks Cannon for making these great products for us that are not so hardware savy .... Keep up the good work!

Great value

The quality of the pictures is great. I have copied pictures that are around one hundred years old and the printer did a great job on even the faintest pictures. I also use this printer for regular documents.
Pros: good value
Cons: none
