Second lousy Canon product

I've had this printer about 6 months. After a month, the fax function started interrupting phone calls, so I had to disconnect it. Now the color printing is illegible. Tried all the troubleshooting/maintenance tips and they don't resolve it. Can't find anyplace on the website that lets me contact a real person for assistance. Also had problems with a Selphy photo printer. I'm about to trash this machine!
Cons: High Ink Consumption, unreliable

Stopped Working After 1 Month

I purchased because I needed a multi-page scanner and color printing capability at a good price. Unfortunately, after printing approximatley 50 pages over severl jobs my first paper jam became my last because it will not properly pull paper anymore. I've used Canon printers for years and like them, but the qulity of this product is poor. I can't give a product that doesn't work a rating higher than poor.
Cons: Flimsy Construction, unreliable

OK unit

I purchased this unit after owning both Canon scanners and Canon printers. I thought this would be the best of both. What I discovered is that it works well but spends a lot of time performing "housekeeping" duties. It whirs and clicks for quite some time before printing or copying. This activity goes on during start-up and shut down as well. If you run multiple pages on the copier or through the print mode it works pretty well, but for the occasional page here and there it's annoying. It even runs through the noises when you start it and press "Scan" right away and won't do anything else until it's done with the "housekeeping" business.
I do like the software included for scanning. The ADF works well and two sided scans are done with ease.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use, reliable
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

lots of features

It has lots of cool features but...it consumes a lot of ink.
I purchased it because my fax machine broke and I needed to send faxes. Didn't dawn on me that you couldn't recieve faxes until after I purchased one for my mom who wanted an all in one for Christmas.
Other than the fact that you cant recieve faxes just as easily as you can send them, it's bulky, consumes a lot of ink, it lacks the auto shut off feature as with other Canons I own, seems to be a great deal for the sale price.

Awsome buy for the buck

As a computer tech and a experienced computer user this printer is a great deal and the best part is the replacement ink isnt as much as the printer! I freakin love it!
Pros: durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, Low Ink Consumption, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, sweet buy
Cons: Large Footprint

Where are the drivers?

This is an excellent machine. Like all inkjets it uses expensive ink, but that's par for the course. It requires a learning curve because of its many functions.
But why isn't the driver posted on the web site?

Never worked period. Followed instructions exactly and it appears to have a jam inside the printer. Tried to figure things out on line. Got no repsonse.
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to use, unreliable

This unit printed good quality copies untill a paper "jam" rendered the unit useless.Just another through away product! Guess I'll have to pop for another one less then two years after purchase.
