I just purchased the MX700 and so far it works fine. My major beef is that the all in one printer comes packed with software...........yet no USB cable to connect it to the computer! This makes no sense whatsoever and I'm angry that a cheap usb cord is not included.
Pros: easy to use, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: no usb cable
I would recommend this to a friend!

MX700 bummer

Have had many problems with this aio giving error code 5010 when I turn I turn it on. When it does work, it prints very well. However an error rate of 85 % of the time has won it a spot in the recycle bin. My next aoi will NOT be a canon!
Cons: High Ink Consumption, unreliable

don't buy if you need to use a scanner

Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors, its the best

When the color ink runs out you are out of luck. You cannot print in black and white. This will cause great inconvenience especially if you only need to print one more page of a paper for school. You are out of luck.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: unreliable, High Ink Consumption, can't override color ink

This thing is a PAIN to set up

I'm an IT professional at the University of Colorado and all I can say about this thing is that it is horribly difficult to setup on a network. It works in some jacks, it doesn't in others. I set it up as a simple network printer and it doesn't print. I can ping it and I have the correct drivers installed, but it still doesn't work. Printer well when plugged into another computer though :(

Don't buy this printer. The print quality especially text is the worst I've ever used even on thick high quality paper. The construction is flimsy & there is no door that pops open when the paper comes out like on the MP780. There is a flimsy prop to you need to use to change the ink.
It's not bad otherwise. Good and fast fax & copies.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, fast print speed
Cons: Flimsy Construction, High Ink Consumption, horrible text
