Overall this is an okay printer for maybe a kid but with the ink I don't get many pages and the quality of the color is extremely poor.
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My pixma mp470 is the best inexpensive printer I have ever owned. It prints the best clear phots and It's really hard to distinguish between a copy made and originals!
Its features are all clear and easy to follow. You can easily select from color to simply press of a button and print your black and whites. I love this printer its fast and I highly recommend it to anyone researching the internet for a fine prouduct, becuase you will not find a better one than the CANON PIXMA MP470

Does everything I need

I bought this not only as a printer, but also as a scanner. I've printed photos and they're good quality. After buying this, I started online classes and this printer has been a necessity as we have to scan certain homework as pdf's and email. This printer/scanner/copier has absolutely fit the bill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What happened here???

My Canon printer is about a year old and already the printhead needs to be replaced (and the ink cartridges , again).At that price I can buy another cheap printer new! Too bad, because I liked the features, but fear to buy Canon again.
Cons: High Ink Consumption, unreliable

Uses Too Much Ink

In general this printer has not given me problems.
HOWEVER, I usually print just black and white. Even though I have set the printer to print only with the black cartridge with no check in the Greyscale, the color cartridge is always empty at the same time as the black cartridge.
This is VERY VERY annoying as well as VERY VERY expensive.
Cons: High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best For The Money

I don't think you could find a better all-in-one printer, copier, scanner out there for the price. Prints are excellent. No problems with 8 months of use. Ink is inexpensive, too.
Pros: durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, fast print speed, reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Large Footprint

Wost purchase ever

I have changed both ink cartridges three times and all the photos still look washed. Using the software that came with the printer doesn't help. No atter what I do all the photos come out looking anything but natural!!
Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption, unreliable, Dull Tones & Colors
