Not a Single Problem

Sorry to many of you that have had an unsatifactory experience, but my first Keurig has worked flawlessly since I took it out of the box. I have enjoyed it so much, I now have a B77 (I do like how much quieter they are) for home and am taking this one to use in my classroom. I had a drip maker behind my desk and was throwing out half a pot a day. And yes, I am a teacher with relatively good problem solving skills, but "difficult to use", "complicated" and "hard to clean"? I'm not a rocket scientist, but to those of you that had these complaints, all I can say is "Really"?
Pros: Durable, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use, Cost Saving, Stylish, Multiple Settings
Cons: None so far

Keurig is highly over rated!

I have owned my Keurig brewer for almost 2 years, so I have LOTS of experience with its use, maintenance and short comings. It's a shame that the admirable Keurig concept did not result in a product of more robust design and quality construction. Due, no doubt, to cost constraints the best Keurig could do was a fragile device not suited for use in the real world. Even if it works for a while, the shoddy engineering and manufacturing will result in eventual failure. Here are 2 serious problems with mine: Problem #1: Despite "descaling" the brewer with vinegar at a frequency suggested by the owner's manual, our unit never delivers a proper volume. It's gotten to the point that we ALWAYS press the "huge mug" button. Even then, we get an amount less than the "tiny cup" button. Not exactly a great advertisement for Keurig when I pass out these ½ cups of espresso to guests. Problem #2: Sometimes the brewer draws in water from its reservoir, displays "Brewing" on the display, then just sits there. After a minute or so we have to reset it by turning it off then on. At this point, we have no idea what we will get if we initiate a second brew cycle, so we have to remove the K-Cup and perform a purging cycle into a large, empty mug. Only then, can we get back to what we bought this piece of junk for: a cup of coffee. Annoying Keurig sidebar: Despite the fact that I registered my brewer on December 31, 2009, and have the confirming email to prove it, Keurig now informs me that I have no registered brewers. This failure to maintain proper records is yet another indication that Keurig is all about profits, and cares very little about its customers.
Cons: Fragile, Frequent Maintenance, Inconsistent volume, Pricey / Poor Value

I bought this edition at Dillards only 4 months ago. It no longer works, way to expensive to only last for a short time. I did not keep my receipt, what a real waste of money, I will buy a new brewer but it will not be keurig. very disappointed...

Great coffee machine

I drink coffee and tea every day, sometimes a few times a day and so does my husband. We love coffee at the fancy coffee shops but it is so expensive. The Keurig allows me to make my own cup of coffee and now I can afford some of the fancy syrups that make all the fancy coffees that are over $5 to buy in cafes. My first machine stopped right at the one year mark but a quick call to customer service and I had a replacement within 2 business days in Canada. My second one is still going strong after one year. I really think these machines are fragile and susceptible to a lot of build up so I use filtered water in it and try to clean it regularly with vinegar. I also will run several cups of just hot water through to keep it clean. It's not a perfect machine and I see that many people have had problems with them but I would rather buy a new coffee machine once in a while than spend $5 a day to get a fancy drink. If I buy one $5 drink a day that is over a thousand dollars a year. I think I would rather make the drinks at home to my specific taste and save hundreds of dollars. If you can find k-cups you like it is a very worth while investment for any coffee or tea drinker.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes

Second machine in a year

Use this machine every morning, and works great. But, once you start to have problems then it seems to escalate. I should have been more diligent de-scaling though. When the first one failed after six months and we took it back to [@] and got a new one. When the second one failed 4.5 months later, we called the help desk and they sent us a new one. Help desk says to de-scale every six weeks, don't wait for the machine to prompt you.

Great Customer Service

We purchased this model at [@] and were pretty happy for the first couple of weeks. The machine started acting up, in between each cup it would fail to reset and gave the error message "prime". I called customer service and they were very polite and ran me through a process to fix it. It worked for about 10 or so cups then began to fail again. After repeating the fix process three more times, I called again hoping they would just fix the problem. Customer service was again very polite, apologized and told me they were sending me a new machine free of charge. That's better than fixing it. The machine is great and if you ever have a problem with it just know that customer service is polite and extremely helpful.
Pros: Easy to use, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish

Do NOT Buy

After reading the comments on this site and having the same problem as more than half of what I read, I can deduct that this product is of poor quality and will fail somewhere between 13 and 24 months. The warrenty expires at 12 months. Primary problem is the unit will suddenly not power on. The company tries to blame the problem on the power outlet... but the repeated comments on this site suggest it is the lack of quality in the system.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

not built well

I bought one in December, didn't last a year before the electronics quit working. Called customer service and they sent me another one. I used it for awhile. stop using it during the summer. When I started using it again, it leak out of the bottom of the brewer. If I used them everyday the two combined would not have lasted a year.
