We saw this device at my Father's house last Christmas and have wanted one since. We just purchased the Speical Edition and are in love! The versatiliy and stylish footprint are impressive. Our guests enjoy the flexibility of brewing their choice at any time.

I was so excited to buy one of these! It was fast, it was quite, it was so cool. I have had it for 6 months and like reading the other reviews, this is about when it goes eh...and gets loud. I have descaled, I have cleaned the puncture needle, I have done all I am supposed to do, except now call again to figure out what is wrong with this machine.(only getting half cups one cup and then a full the next, then half, etc, etc) This will be my 3rd call in, in 6 months. I would brag about this to everyone I know, now not so much. I should not have to troubleshoot after 6 months, I think for the money you pay, it should just work. I will be calling in again after work today to see what to do next. Just disappointing, especially considering this seems to be a common problem, should be someway of solving it so that others do not have these issues.
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN, Noisy

Odd little Machine

I like this machine, but I have to say that I have owned this for only 1.5 months and now the brewing cycle is taking forever. It use to brew quickly once ready, but now I hit the brew button once it says ready and it could take a good minute before it brews. When it brews it may only do a few ounces even though I selected the 7oz option. I'm sure something is wrong with it. I'm curious if others have this problem as I have read about pump issues.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Cons: Sometimes does not brew, Limited Cup Sizes

Best coffee making idea since instant

I first experienced a Keurig coffee machine at a dentist's office. I just thought it was the neatest thing. I hemmed and hawed for about a week when I saw it go on sale at Kohl's, plus with a coupon and senior discount, I got it for under $100. I used to drink instant for my once a day morning cup. It was only when we had company that we made brewed coffee since my wife rarely drinks it. So now I've had it for about 11 months with no problems. I like the variety, the convenience, and no waste of a pot of coffee. I also liked the iced tea during the summer. This model is a great mid-range one with 3 sizes and and auto off/on feature. I don't think you need many more features unless you drink about 5 cups a day. For the money and convenience, this is the best model going.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: HARD TO CLEAN

My machine functioned for about a year before dying. There were two days that the machine spilled water on the counter because it would run without prompting. On the third day, it simply refused to come on. Although I had to wait 30 minutes for a Keurig customer service representative, each person was exceptional. I received the new one within three days. So far, all is well.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Can be inconsistent

[...]We bought this coffeemaker in April 2009 when one of those sample ladies in [...] approached us. Got a great deal on it, and they threw in 100 K-cups. It's just two of us -- my husband and I -- and we used to waste a lot of coffee, between it just getting old sitting in the pot or just being on the run. I also felt duty-bound to finish off each pot, which made me drink more coffee in a time period than I would like, and leading to my reheating cold coffee.We took it home and fired it up. It was loud. VERY loud. Like a jet engine. But the coffee was superb! After a month or so, the sound got louder. I called customer support, and the lady told me to put a mousepad beneath it. Um...ok. It muffled it some. The coffee was still excellent. A few months later, despite my monthly descaling -- which involves jug after jug of vinegar, which has to sit in the receptacle for a minimum of 4 hours -- it simply stopped pulling water up. I called CS again. The lady had me squinting my senior citizen eyes to find the eye of a needle inside the machine and then wanted me to find a paperclip and stick it in there. I eventually convinced her that I did not have a paperclip or the patience for this procedure. They sent me a second one, free of charge, with two boxes of K-cups.[...] Second machine was not noisy; CS told me it had been redesigned. But 2 months later, it stopped again. I called, this time not so patient sounding. After a series of questions which led me to believe that the average caller is an idiot, the lady told me I was not leaving the vinegar in long enough. Six hours would have been better. She said that the fact that I live in northern Maine is likely the reason that I am having problems, as well water doesn't work well with the machine. I told her three times I don't HAVE well water, that we're on city water. I probably called her a name, as I had not had my coffee. She sent me a new one. That was April. Last week, it stopped again. I asked CS if I could send them more money and get a higher-end model, since I love the concept and love the coffee. Perhaps the shoddiness is price-based. I was informed that they don't allow upgrades. WHAT?I escalated the call and got a supervisor. She told me that they could make an exception, but that they are out of stock, so I would have to wait a few months -- without a machine -- for their Select or their Platinum models. She made no mention of the Breville, so I dropped the subject. This time, they want me to send the entire machine back as proof of purchase.I asked how to empty the water out of the reservoir. Was told it is not possible to empty. Send with water inside the machine. In a special package they will be sending. WHAT?

Cons: Fragile, Stops working, HARD TO CLEAN
