K65 and the Vue 500

A few of my Friends have a Keurig so I decided to by one from BB&B since my Hamilton Beach single brewer was slowly dying after 4 years and at only $17 bucks from Walmart, it lasted longer then any others that I had had. So I decided to spend the cash and buy a Keurig. The first one was the K65 limited edition. It seemed to work well except I wasn't happy with the amount of Coffee/Tea that it produced at the 10 oz cup size as it only seemed to fill a little above half of my 12 oz cup. I thought, what a waste of money and coffee product that you can't even get a "Full" cup so I took it back and replaced it with the Vue 500. Right away it kept telling to fill the tank when it was half full so I filled it to the top and again when the tank was half full, I received the same message. I also bought the adapter the "Solofill" to the Vue and I was under the impression that you could just simply drop the K-cup into the adapter...wrong! Just a little FYI, the K cup does NOT fit into the adapter, you have to open the K cup and poor the contents into the adapter as the lid for the adapter will not close in the Vue. So I have yet to see the benefit of using something that I have a hard time finding a good selection of product for the Vue and the adapter is no different then cleaning out coffee grounds from a regular coffee pot machine. So after reading all the bad reviews on broken pups that clog, I think I am going to save my hundo and go back the to single serve Hamilton Beach single serve that doesn't use expansive pods and doesn't seem t clog. For the money, it is well worth it!
Pros: Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Noisy, Limited Cup Sizes, Pricey / Poor Value

Truly a great coffee maker. Easy to use and versatile. You can make a variety of drinks with it and they all taste GOOD.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Fast, Durable

I am a everyday coffee drinker. A cup before and after work. Worked well at first but had a lot problems time after time. This was a gift from my husband and I couldn't believe for what he spent it worked so poorly. A cheap coffee maker seems to be capable of lasting for many years, basically a very long time.. Not for nothing, but who cares if you may have to throw some left over coffee out it's still cheaper then buying a box of K-cups with 12 in a box for $10.00 to $12.00 dollars... What a waist of money.. If your a REal coffee drinker this is not for you. The K is for people who want decoration in their house .

Cons: Slow, Constant Problems, Expensive, K-Cups are Expensive, Half A Cup Of Coffee, Loud

Convenient, but not satisfied

I will say that this brewer is very convenient and great for our small office where everyone likes something different. However, for people that prefer tea it isn't great. You get a few grounds in the cup and it has a slight coffee taste to it. If I want tea I have to wash the funnel and run an empty cup of water then brew the tea. By the time I do all of that I might as well have just heated the water and used a tea bag. Also, the lifespan of the brewer isn't very long. It started brewing coffee all on it's own until it runs out of water. Just about three years and it's done. Customer service was very nice and offered a discount on the purchase of a new one. I've heard this from just about everyone I know that owns one. Unlike my home coffee pot that is used daily and is going on 14 years. Just something to consider.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Grounds in tea, HARD TO CLEAN, LIMITED LIFE

Argh to get a full mug with one push

I love the keurig. Except I have to go through the large size and the medium size to fill a normal coffee mug. I followed the cleaning video and any troubleshooting tips I could find. I'm nervous to buy a new one because if it's the same issue I will be very unhappy.

Great Brewer

The only thing that I would change would be to add larger cup sizes. Even the largest cup size on this brewer falls a little short of my every day coffee cup. I wasn't willing to spend an extra $75 to get 6 cup sizes. Other than that, it's the perfect brewer. My perfect cup is ready in less than a minute, which is perfect for the quick break between getting the kids on the bus and heading out for work. No more waiting for a coffee pot to brew and then cook my coffee!

We bought this on a whim...fun toy...but we love it and use it every day. My husband prefers cocoa and tea while I am the coffee drinker in the house. We love being able to fix a single cup of tea or coffee in the evening if we want without the hassle of a tea pot and the stove. A pricey toy for us but great for convenience and simplicity of use. We have had it for about 3 months and have not found a negative yet.

Somewhat disappointed

I received my K65 Single Serve Brewer a little over a year ago and it has stopped working!! I loved it when it worked but very disappointed that it did not last long at all. I am a casual drinker and probably used my brewer a total of 10 times. So disappointed!!

Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, HARD TO CLEAN
