No amount of Vinegar would fix it

This is our second machine. The first one worked fine for just over a year and then required descaling. Went through the vinegar process as described in the manual but the machine just refused to brew properly after that and would spit out various quantities of vinegar water. But despite that I bought another one for the convenience of making the family the different flavors they like when they like. These machines are easy to use and convenient so I hope this one lasts longer. We are going to use filtered water this time as I know the water in arizona is harsh.

2 Year Life Span

I enjoyed my Keurig brewer fully for about two years. Then I slowly started having problems, even with regular maintenance. Cups were not fully brewed and soon the motor started to slow down. I have to turn it on and off at least three times to make it work. When I called Keurig to fix the problem, they were polite, but not helpful. I wish now I had gotten the Cuisinart. It seems to have less problems.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Short life span, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love it, BUT .....

It's hard to have such ambivalent feelings about this product. I used to throw out so much coffee from brewing a pot and not finishing it. I love that I can make cups easily as I go through my day and there is no waste. I love how easy it is to use and how so little cleanup is required. I even love that I can subscribe to my favorite k-cups and they come right to my door every month. That said, there is something that I dislike with equal vigor. I have gone through FOUR of these in three years. That's a lot of money on a product that is so poorly constructed. The first one started making horrible loud noises when brewing and then died. I thought maybe I had a bad one, but then the second one did the same thing. The third one went wonky and I couldn't adjust the settings. It kept trying to brew by the timer and then it died completely. The last one has begun to pour water out of the bottom. At first I set it on a towel, but then I became afraid I would get electrocuted. Even with the special deals customer service gives you, it still costs toooo much to keep replacing a poorly made product. I wish they would manufacture these with more quality in mind. It's a great concept but it's very badly made. I'm waiting for number FIVE to be delivered. If I had one go bad in three years I would think nothing of it, but FOUR in three years? Come on!
Pros: Fast, No Mess No Fuss, Lots Of Beverage Choices
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Needs Better Warranty, Not built to last

Could last a little longer

Had it about 1 year and started acting up - not a full cup / no brew at all / started on its own. Called cust svc for help, and they sent a new machine free of charge. Nice of them to do that, but now I hope the new one lasts longer than the first. The coffee is delicious, and since my wife uses it only 1 cup per day, it is very convenient and economical for us.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Accommodates All Cup Sizes

We have been using this Keurig in our office of 10 coffee drinkers for the last six months and we love it. No longer dumping airpots of coffee down the drain! We love the variety of coffees, now we can please everyone!!! Best of all no more waste. Our guests and clients love it too. We use it all coffee, tea, hot chocolate. You can even use regualr tea bags and brew a cup at a time. We haven't found anything negative. Other than it takes a bit longer than pouring a cup of coffee from a pot. But this way you get a fresh cup everytime! When this one dies we will definately buy again.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Durable, Easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Received as Warranty Replacement
on January 8, 2013

I received this "Special Edition" Keurig brewer as a warranty replacement for a broken Model B66 brewer. This new brewer has the exact same operation and functionality. However, the quality of the materials and build have been obviously reduced. For example, the B66 has a solid chrome steel lift handle, while the SE has a flismy chrome plastic handle. The B66 has nice chrome insets, the SE is plain. I am disappointed in the quality of the SE compared to the B66.
Pros: MAKES GREAT COFFEE
Cons: Reduced Quality Materials

Love my coffee

I make 2 cups every morning. I love how fast it makes my coffee. I love the taste of the coffee. I don't like that it does not fill my cup. I put it on the largest setting and still does not fill my cup. I use a coffee mug. I also think the machines are over priced. The coffee is also over priced and thats why I like that I can use my own coffee in one of the reusable k-cups.
Pros: Stylish, Fast, Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Limited Cup Sizes, Noisy

Stopped working after 2 years

Used this product practically every day since we received our B60 as a gift for Christmas 2 years ago. At first, very convenient, and a great way to make a quick cup of coffee especially when you only want one and not a whole pot. Taste is not as good as fresh ground beans, but was willing to sacrifice for sake of convenience. A short while ago, the display stopped lighting up but it still worked fine so thought nothing of it. Yesterday it quit altogether and won't turn on at all. Was told by Keurig it cannot be repaired. Since we have had it just over two years it is out of warranty, though Keurig did offer a discount on a replacement model. I'm now seeing numerous posts that these fail frequently, so I doubt we will be replacing ours and will go back to grinding beans. We prefer the taste of bean coffee over k-cup anyway (and even gourmet/organic beans are cheaper than k-cups!)
