I have been using this edition for 2 years. I drink coffee 1-2 times a day. I love this product. I descale every three months. I do have to clean the exit nozzle every month too. The coffee granules get stuck up there, which hinders flow. I'm not sure why people are saying that K cups are expensive. I buy mine online and I get them for 90¢ per K cup. The Starbucks K cups cost me $1.05. I like the convenience of this product. I don't like that I have to clean it so often. It is very easy when there are guests over. It's awesome that there are so many manufacturers of K cups out there. Overall I love this product!
Pros: Stylish, Multiple Settings, Fast, Easy to use
Cons: Noisy

Beautiful, Reliable & Easy to use

I recieved this as a gift from my father over 6 months ago and have never had a problem or malfunction of any kind with it. It has never required cleaning in that time. I use ONLY gallon bottled, purified spring water in it ($1/gal.). The best use of this machine is to set it for morning ON time and then turn it off when not in use. Water will be ready to use from a cold start in less than 2 minutes. I wish it had more (larger) cup settings, however, for a 12 oz cup, you simply use the smallest cup size twice. Best gift I've ever gotten! With the different types and flavors of coffees available for it, we are constantly sampling different k cups to find new favorites. We've become spoiled with the excellent coffees we brew and will never go back to brewing and wasting pots of coffee again.
Pros: Fast, Easy to use, Durable
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes

Had this machine for 18 months now and feel I can honestly review this product. Luv it. I use the k-cups and the filter to use my own coffee. Yes, it has a little bit of noise when it's brewing but it's so minimal and you do get use to it. I definately recommend this product. Besides,this machine is well worth the value and it gets used 3-5 times a day and has stood up to the test of time. I do wish it had a larger water capacity, but thats only because I use it faithfully.
Pros: Stylish, Easy to use, Durable, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Multiple Settings

Buyer Beware!!! It stops working!!!

My Platinum died after 18 months. I cleaned it, pampered it, then one day it never turned on. They want me to purchase a new one rather than replace the dead one. It seems Keurig is now making their units cheap and built only to last during the 1 year warranty. I was always telling friends how great the Keurig is, no more. They don't stand behind their products!
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Does Not Last

I had this brewer for 18 months and it just died. We did not even use it for the first 6 months, now I brew about 2 cups a day. It brewed one cup and then it shut off and would not come back on- no lights- nothing. I called customer service. They told me this was my fault for not descaling every 3 months as instructed by the manual!?!?? I have descaled at least three times and does not say anything about the brewer completely shutting down if you don't- I am very frustrated. They did offer me another at a reduced rate but I am still deciding- this one did not last so I am not sure if I want another. Mostly I am frustrated at the attitude of the customer service rep. The bottom line- there is no repairing only replacing- which is surprising for the cost.
Pros: Large water tank, Easy to use, Fast
Cons: Poor Customer Service, Pricey / Poor Value, Fragile, HARD TO CLEAN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've read a lot of negative reviews here, and thought I'd add my 'two cents' to maybe balance things out a bit. I've had my Keurig brewer for 11 months and so far it's worked perfectly. I like one real good cup of coffee in the morning, so when I did bother to make coffee at home, I'd end up throwing out the remainder of the pot. Usually I'd end up going out and paying a lot for a cup of coffee. Now I can make a very good cup of coffee with a minimum of hassle. The only downsides it has is the temperature could be hotter, and the brew strength could be stronger (which I'm aware are common complaints).
