Great Machine But Terribly Noisy

We love the system ... but it starts out noisy on refill and over time gets worse ... much worse... both on refill and heating. We own two of these and have replaced one 1 time and the other 2 times because of this. Two questions: 1. When will Keurig make a quieter unit? 2. When will Keurig make a built-in unit?
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Noisy, Fragile

We got this for a gift and its not something that we would not go out and buy. I did pick up the filter so we can use our coffee. Also in time the fad will pass and they will stop making the kcups and your S.O.L with a 12 lb boat anchor on your counter top. I have a 12cup Krups that is about 15 years old and works like a champ. This thing takes up more space and is only good for one cup at a time. If you have guests over you will need to pull out the old coffee maker its a waste of money for the kcups. [$] for 60 cups of coffee? Do the math. This things a fad...
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Big footprint on counter, HC powder still in kcup
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

looks great I received it as a christmas gift, and love every thing about it . set it up and had first cup already

This is one of the best products I have ever purchased. Its not noisy if you think its noisy try living in the city LOL!

I always love a good tasting cup of coffee; I usually have to pay almost $4 for one; Now, I do not have to pay these places for my coffee. I have my own special brewer at home, for whenever I want a delicious cup of coffee.
Pros: Convenient

I went to a class in N.ATL, and they had a Keurig system...that was almost a year ago and I've been "begging" my Husband to get me one. Well he did... For Christmas! (After driving around to 4 different [...]; he finally found it at [...]) I am so happy! Since I opened the box and went thru the whole "first time use" stuff, we've been brewing coffee and tea like no tomorrow. It's so EASY! Just add water, drop in the K-cup and you're done! I taught my son, daughter, and daughter-in-law how to use it in less than a minute.Fortunately, mine isn't noisy like some other people have said. In my opinion, the only downside is the fact that the stores don't have enough of a variety of the k-cups. I am taking my old coffee maker to work and giving it to someone who will actually use it becuz I didn't. Thank you Keurig for coming up with this great idea. You've made at least this person a very happy one! - My only suggestion would be to probably make the mini "travel-friendly" so that when we travel, I'm not forced to find a Starbucks :). Thank you all, and Merry Christmas...

I got the Keurig as a Christmas gift yesterday.I have drank 4 cups of coffee already. I LOVE IT!!!!I never thought I'd turn my back on Starbuck, but I have a new love.

I'm hearing a lot of complaints about how noisy this thing is! It's not that noisy at all and it makes a super gourmet tasting cup of coffee in less than 20 seconds, so you only hear the noise for a brief 20 seconds! Coffee grinders are much more noisy as well as cappuccino makers so please stop complaining about the noise. This machine makes Starbuck tasting coffee at home! I recommend the Keurig to all my friends and family!

The Special Edition Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.
