Love the coffee, hate the noise...

I was so excited when I bought my machine. I am the only coffee drinker in the household, and I got extremely tired of making a full pot of coffee only to drink two cups each morning. This was my answer, and lo and behold it made tea as well, so my wife was pleased as well. I set it up and my road to coffee heaven is now paved for me. One drawback, and I wasn't sure if it was mine until I read the posts here...this thing sounds like I am starting a chainsaw in my kitchen, every time the water pumps into the heating tank. I switched counters, placed a towel underneath it, even went as far as to buy a sound-proof pad to put under it, nothing helped. I didn't notice it until I purchased one just like it at a department store for my office, and it was so quiet I could barely even hear the coffee pouring into the cup. This wasn't much of a problem until October 2009, when we had our first child. Now, my weed-wacker coffee pot shakes the walls so much that our newborn gets woken up. I have to say, that if this thing didn't make such a quick, fantastic cup of coffee, I would be throwing it out into the dumpster in a heartbeat...I'm still contemplating it. I know what you are thinking, swap the one at home for the one at the office, but I cannot. It was a group purchase, and everyone would know. Besides, who wants an 1800 V-twin starting two feet from you in your office, for each of the 20 or so cups of coffee made each day at the office. I'll have to suffer, or at least save up another bill and a half to buy a new one, and maybe gift this one to my sister...her kids are grown.
Pros: Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Stylish, Easy to use, Multiple Settings
Cons: Loud

Good Idea, perfomance drops off.

This was a good idea at first. It was percieved as brilliant at first. Alas all good things come to an end. The pump failed and now we are lucky if we get a cup. I now have a house full of coffee though. My partner had the same machine at work and that had a similar problem.
Cons: Limited Cup Sizes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great coffeemaker but needed an exchange

This is a great coffeemaker but after 10 months it started to work weird. took 90 seconds to brew. At times it took 10 seconds to start brewing, than would stop in the middle of brewing. I had to pull the handle down 2x to start it up. I called Keurig and someone "tested" it over the phone and that was a waste of time. She said it works. I said it did not work properly. She was not helpful. I complained the the BBB and they are trying to send me another one in exchange. We do like this coffeemaker alot and by them showing us they want to exchange it shows us that we will remain customers. I wish it had not gone this far to the BBB and the woman who tested it on the phone should have exchanged it at that time. I always followed instructions and cleaned it with vinegar as needed and instructed. Guess I got a bad one.we use about 4 kcups of coffee a day. Still best coffee!

So easy to use and it makes a great cup of coffee. I love having different cups available for guests. I wish the water reserve was larger, but that is just a little inconvenience. I use it everyday at least 2-3 times. Cinnamon pastry from Timothy's coffee is delicious! Enjoy your new machine, it is worth the money!

Fresh coffee in every cup! I am amazed that it makes a steaming hot cup of coffee in less than 30 seconds! Tons of varieties of K-cups. I love mine at home so much, I will be buying one for my office as well.

It is great to have different flavors and types of coffee for guests. However, we've gone through three machines already. The company response is horrible. I have now been waiting three days for a technician to call back. I just went out and got a Mr Coffee. Too much of a hassle.
Pros: Stylish, Accommodates All Cup Sizes, Easy to use
Cons: Breaks easily, No company response, Fragile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I saw several reviews that state the machine is noisy. To me, it reminds me of an espresso machine when it is near the end of its brewing cycle or if frothing milk. I do not find the noise bothersome and the machine is squeezing the last drop of goodness out of the K-cup. I was reluctant to buy this machine because I thought the whole concept was too expensive but after experiencing the excellent coffee that the machine and the different coffees produce, I was wrong. At about $0.55 cents per cup, it is a lot less expensive and much more convenient than buying coffee at the popular coffee chains. The fact that I get a fresh, hot, delicious cup each time makes the perceived expense evaporate. Couple that with the fact that I'm not throwing out the leftover coffee makes this a real winner. I'm very happy with the Keurig and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
