WR Unit is Different and BETTER

Bought my Special Edition at a popular retailer last February. It worked perfectly every day, several times a day until late September. Then it began making half-cups with the other half of the water flowing out of the white drain tube back into the reservoir. I called Keurig, they sent a brand new brewer (received within 3 days). The new brewer has a new and different reservoir with a fine mesh filter over the intake. The reservoir is clear instead of frosted, rounded instead of squared off, and holds 64oz. My machine is quieter, quicker to start up, with a subtly sleeker design. Even the hinge on the handle is dressed up a bit with the screws no longer exposed. I'm delighted with my new unit and hope Keurig is quick to make this revamp a permanent part of the brewer line-up!

Great Product Even Though.....

My first brewer lasted 8 months, it worked like a champ. I guess the hole descaling thing needs to be discussed on the front end, especially about the frequency. Although my first brewer only lasted 8 months, the customer service team had a new brewer at my house in 3 days, and that was awesome!!! Not to mention the new brewer came with another 1 year warranty!!!
Pros: Easy to use, Super AWESOME, Multiple Settings, Stylish, Fast, Accommodates All Cup Sizes
Cons: Just a little noisy

The Special Edition Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

Don't expect to work more than a year

Purchased 2 of these units back in 2/2010 within a few months each of them would loose "Prime" and it would keep tring to pump water into the unit and you would have to lift up the resevoir several times until the water would get pulled in. Contacted Customer support regarding the issues and to my surprise they just sent out 2 new units (probably indicating that I was not the only on with this problem) after faithful daily use, now one of the units has an "Internal" leak and so after turning on the unit and brewing a cup or two the unit is sitting in a pool of water on the counter. Of course now my units are 10 months out of warranty. I at least contacted customer support to at least let them know of this problem, in case I am not the only one, but I doubt much more will come of it. I then started reading reviews of other customers, and they are mixed but all in all doesn't seem that customers are getting too much use beyond the year warranty. So now I am not so sure that I will be replacing my Keurig with another unit since problems seem to be pervasive Keurig wide. No matter which unit I look at, the reviews seem to indicate problems with each and maybe have to rethink my options for brewers :(

I really like the temp control feature. The secret to a great cup of coffee, is really hot water. That was a problem with coffee makers in the past. The water was not hot enough to extract the robusta from the bean/grounds. Keurig has exceeded that problem. This product is both metal and plastic. Durable built. I haven't had one bit of problem. Always hot, and always fresh. Keep it descaled and you won't have a problem. If you have hot coca/chocolate in packets or instant coffee, just fill your cup with grounds and/or coca/chocolate and fill with Keurig's fantastic hot water system for an enjoyable cup, until you can get some K-cups.
Pros: Temp Control, Durable, Stylish, Easy to use, Fast
Cons: I Haven't Got A One

This is the best brewer made, EVER! I have had mine almost two years, and it brews quietly, quickly and perfectly. I love mine so much that I gave our son and his wife a complete system with coffee for Christmas. We use ours every single day..and Customer service is right there if you ever have a problem. They help you correct anything that you need help with..the best customer relations I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. GREAT brewer, GREAT coffee, GREAT company!

Should have bought one sooner!

I love this manner of brewing multiple types of gourmet coffee. It's quick, there is never any waste and every cup is deliciously brewed fresh. Recently my only concern was that as my machine aged, (purchased only this past May)it was getting noisier. It still worked fine but was getting noisier and noisier. Kuerig stood behind their product and sent me a replacement. Needless to say I am very happy with this brewing concept and am sold on Kuerig and their great service.
