The Special Edition Brewing System is designed and UL approved for household use. Keurig recommends customers use Keurig brewers consistent with their intended use.

One year later, still going strong

Okay, so I got this Keurig as a gift from my family during my deployment last year to Baghdad, Iraq. I, quite literally, used this machine every day. I think I probably averaged six cups of coffee a day and there has never been a problem. The Keurig has survived fluctuating power outages, rocket and mortar attacks, the silty, nasty dust of Iraqi sandstorms, and a move back to the United States. It is currently set up in my kitchen where my wife and I continue to use it daily. I often tell my mother (since she spent the money) that my laptop and my Keurig were the two most important things that contributed to keeping me alive and sane during my deployment. For what its worth, I love it.
Pros: Durable, Easy to use, Stylish

Worst brewer hands down

same problems as everybody else, shuts off , 1/2 cup, etc... after fighting this machine for a year I give up. I am a cancer patient and do not have the time or energy to fight a coffee machine. I am very disappointed and will blog against this machine till my fingers turn purple. John
Cons: Fragile, Horrible brewer

I love our machine. My only issue is that it is very loud. Sounds like it's going to lift off sometimes. :)lol No big. I keep it clean, change the filter on a regular basis and keep it full of water. We have used it like a work horse for a couple of years and it still works great. Purchased it from a warehouse club. Don't know if that makes a difference. Sorry to read about the rest of your experiences.

Buy a Flavia. The Keurig sounds like a Russian tank when brewing. Keurig help desk was no help. If it is necessary to use a placemat to quiet it, then they should have included one with the unit (and that doesn't help either, by the way). My Cup accessory doesn't work. No matter what grind I select at the store from coarse to expresso, the Keurig rains water all over the cup and the coffee is weak, because all the water is not funneled through the coffee.
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy to use
Cons: My Cup accessory poor, Did I say NOISY, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If only it didn't break

It operated well for six months, then started giving us trouble. Customer service couldn't have been better. After trying some quick fixes, the machine was replaced and upgraded without any drama. Thank you Keurig.
Pros: Easy to use, Multiple Settings

My wife and I recently purchased a Special Edition Keurig Brewing system (Model B60)after being introduced to one at my Brother's home over the past Thankgiving Holiday (2009). My wife and I are avid coffee drinkers and we enjoyed coffee made fresh, cup by cup every day during our stay. We were impressed by the practicality of the system which permitted freshly brewed hot drinks, of differing varieties, catering to the varried tastes of multiple hot beverage drinkers in the same household. We all were able to make and enjoy our favorite hot beverages,on demand, in a timely manner, with no waste as each person made their own variety of their favorite hot beverage. We purchased our own system as soon as we returned home. We had one minor problem, brewer related, in the 7 months since we have owned our Keurig Brewer and that problem was solved immediately by Keurig's exemplary and professional Customer Service staff. I would reccomend the Keurig Brewing system in General and the B-60 SPecial addition Brewer, specifically, to all of my friends and family. My Wife and I use ours extensively every day.
