Reliable Appliance

Purchased three months ago. Moved three times in last twenty years and replaced the refrigerator in the house with a new GE refrigerator.

I purchased this frig in Jan., 2014. I love the frig and temp controls, also the space inside is perfect for storing all of your food, especially liking the veg/fruit drawers as they keep items fresher longer.

The unit was installed, we transferred food into it from the old unit and it made the first ice within 3 hours. Next morning the ice bucket was more than half full and the freezer temp was zero degrees! We love it!

My refrigerator died on Christmas morning, thankfully our local GE dealer was open for business the next day. He had just what I wanted/needed. It's been geat!

A little too "value"

The overall box looks nice enough, but the metal, tinny handles with no screw hole covers looks unfinished and dont exactly match the box. The barely shelved inside make this model look a little too budget. I ordered online based on ratings and another GE refrigerator model that I had. This model did not compare.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
