Terrible Printer/Scanner

The Epson CX7400 is a very poor piece of equipment. It sucks ink like a fiend. If you do not use it regularly, you have to clean the nozzles often which then just drains even more ink. It is a very expensive printer to operate for the amount of ink it uses. I would never, ever recommend this printer to anyone.

Slower than my previous R200, but the ALL-In-One benefit really makes up for ot!

Good Printer for Home Use

This is a good printer for home use. Setup was easy and everything worked on the first try. The paper hold lacks a tall enough back, so the paper folds back unless you put in a very sturdy paper.
The printer makes a "clunking" sound when it prints, but speed and quality appear to be fine so far.
The speed and quality of the copier and the scanner are both equally good. The scanner is a little difficult to master, but is OK after a few tries.
One of the better features is the slot for inserting a camera card.

Good Purchase-Terrible ink usage

The qualiuty of printing from this printer is very good, but the cartigaes need to be replaced about every month. I do not print photos or other large color usage documents; just standard print jobs. The cartigaes are not expense but over a years' time, it may break the bank if you can't afford to purchase them each month.

Best quality printer for the money

I have had the printer for several month now and it has done an excellant job for of printing and coping. I work with both photo and text copies. The only problem I have is the print cartridges can not be recycled. I hate to just throw them away.

I like the way the images print, but the use of ink at an extraordinary rate is unnerving. I would prefer a larger black cartridge.

I like the fact that everytime you print you can see where your levels of ink are. Because of this option you can choose and order new cartridges online directly from the company if you don't feel going to the store and buy them there. About the only thing I don't like about the printer is that the paper jams and / or will not feed the paper through correctly. That can be quite frustrating.
