Greatest thing since sliced bread

Vacuuming is difficult for me and I have had a number of different vacuum cleaners over the past few years. They are cumbersome and although they seemed to do a good job, I could not believe how much dirt and debris my new Roomba gathered. I have pets, so the fact that it can get cat hair is a real plus for me. I love that I can set it up and go about doing other things and when I return the room or rooms are clean. I have recommended it to everyone I meet. It is truly a wonderful product.

Does great on tile floors!

I love this product on my tiled floors. It does a gret job cleaning, and the trash bin hold quite a bit. HOWEVER, the brushes are too harsh, and it leaves a circular scratch mark all over my hardwood floors.

So far, I love this product. We have two kids and a big house and this little machine is my new best friend. I love how it runs and gets itself back to the charging station. Only wish it were a bit quieter and a larger dust bin. I hope this lasts forever...

This is my second Roomba. The first one lasted about 3 years and had to have the battery replaced once. I have had the 535 for almost 3 years and now the cliff sensor is not working (the Roomba spins and only goes backwards). I purchased an extended warranty thru another source and they're repairing it. The battery is still good and I haven't even had to replace the brushes. I have a German Shepherd that sheds massive amounts of fur and while it isn't the perfect replacement for my regular vacuum, it does make it possible for me not to have to vacuum every other day. It gets stuck under one particular piece of furniture (fixed that with a book shoved underneath) but does great with the other stuff. It's awesome on hardwood and tile and fair on rugs. It's still fun to watch, even after all these years. Still have to make sure to keep blind cords off the floor and pick up small items, but that's just common sense. I would be sad if I didn't have my Roomba!

I have 3 kids, a dog, and a husband who tracks in a ton of dirt. This is a terrific product! I would reccommend this to anyone. I love that it cleans for me while I'm doing something else. It really adds to my multitasking. I've always said that if I could vacuum the carpets and sweep the hardfloors everyday, my house would stay so much cleaner, and now I can! My only regret is that I didn't by it sooner!

I think robotic things are sometimes lousy tools but this guy is great! I will put this machine in my will for my grandkids because I think robots will rule when they are my age.

love my new roomba

I have a one bedroom apartment, hardwood living and dining rooms, linoleum kitchen and bathroom, carpeted bedroom. I set my roomba loose when I'm heading out to avoid the noise, and it finds and cleans all my rooms and is docked and charging when I get back. It gets under furniture and in corners and everything. It sweeps great and does surprisingly well on the carpet. I have to clean the brush pretty frequently (every 2-3 runs) and hair that gets wrapped around the brush bearings can be a pain to untangle. But that's a small annoyance for never having to sweep or vacuum myself and saving the time.

Roomba helps this clean freak

I have to large dogs and this helps quite a bit. It's nice not to have to worry about vacuuming. The downside is you have to clean it out thouroughly which takes about 10-20 min. but I would rather sit and clean it than be up vacumming for longer. When cleaning the Roomba, note you can unscrew the side brush, remove the front wheel and casing and remove the endcaps and axles on the middle brushes, I did not realize this at first and it saves a lot of time and hassle. The other downside is some of my furniture I have to put something underneath to raise it up in order for the Roomba to get underneath but this takes only a few seconds.Usually I remove my dining chairs but found if I just pull them out a bit, Roomba can get under and around them easily. I was worried about my dogs damaging it but they are scared of it more than anything and move out of the way when it comes by. I love my Roomba and am glad I got it. I don't have carpeting but I love how it goes over any rugs as well as the hard floors. Under my beds used to be a dust trap but now are perfectly clean. I am so happy with it I just bought a Scooba and cannot wait for it to come in. I own the 530 model and do not mind not having the programming as I will push the clean button as I am going to bed to have it run while I'm in bed. It does get corners well (I was surprised) but does not vacuum right around the home base which is a downfall. I also find it can get stuck so sometimes it is not always best to run at night. Overall I think this is a really great product and why spend a lot of money on other vacuum cleaners when you can buy one that vacuums for you.
