The best invention ever!

Our Roomba is a lifesaver! It effectively picks up pet hair from 2 labradors plus the dirt from 3 busy kids. We start it every morning on our way out the door and come home to clean house and a parked Roomba. It goes under chairs and tables and can sense extra dirty areas. We are considering another Roomba for the back part of our house!
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Deep Cleaning Ability, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Pet Friendly
Cons: Noisy

Just bought it and luv it already

I just bought the 530 model and got the 400 series for free as part of a good sale. I just moved to DC and I used the 530 model here in my small temp apartment and it seems to pick up pretty well. I have a combination of tile and some overlapping area rugs and it managed to go over them all. Also there's approximately a 1/2 inch rise where the kitchen tiles start and it managed to climb up and down that by itself. This place is pretty small and cluttered but I was amazed at all the places it managed to go. obviously I could do it a lot quicker if I just got off my butt and used the handheld but where's the fun in that. I have two small dogs and they seem to give off loads of little black hairs, I wish I had bought this sooner to help sweep up after them on a daily basis. I haven't even touched the 400 model yet. I'm still deciding whether to give it away for Christmas or keep it for when I move into my permanent housing. I would give it five stars but I haven't had it long enough to be a reliable judge at this point and ofcourse there's always going to be a few areas it's going to miss unless you follow along and move furniture.

This is the second Roomba to my home, other is a Red. This one cleans very well, gets areas I may not be able (or be too lazy) to clean. It's great at keeping pet hair in check... along with those pesky dust bunnies! My only gripe is that the brush does get full of hair, but it's more manageable once Roomba started cleaning more frequently. Cleaning the brush (and other parts) is also A LOT easier to clean than other Roombas (upright vacs too) ... only takes a few seconds.

Cons: Does Not Clean Stairs, Frequent Maintenance

I have 4 cats and they leave a lot of cat hair! I can't vacuum my apartment every day. Some years ago I've heard about roomba, and last christmas I've give an 530 model for myself =) Its HELPS ME A LOT. Every day I turn on my robot and its vacuum all cat hair and fur! I recomend it to pet owners, it's save a lot of time =) The only issue I think is: I need to clean the brushes and the bin frequently. And before roomba start to vacuum, I need take all wires, or its make roomba stops to work (as little pieces of clothes, like socks).

Cons: Freq emptying with pets

I received this robot as a Christmas present. I am sceptical about claims for products. In this case, the product does all that it says it will. The carpet cleaning is thorough, and it even cleans under things like sofas (mine was never cleaned for about two years). It even stops at steps (its cliff detection capability). This is really a great product!

Awesome Little Companion

I've had my Roomba for over a year now, and am nearly completely satisfied with it. The battery still has excellent life, the floors are always clean when it has finished, and as a bonus, my very young son is mesmerized watching it clean. My only complaint is that the larger of the sockets you plug the brushes into seems to have a little too much clearance. As a result, the fur from my cat and dog can sometimes creep into the inner gears of the robot. This is easily cleaned by about 20 minutes worth of taking apart and reassembling the gearbox, so it's not a major complaint, but valid nonetheless. Overall, I can't recommend it enough to those with a busy life. At some point we'll be getting another one, as right now one Roomba is handling 4 rooms!

Have to clean brushes after every room

I do like my Roomba because it cleans in places I can't get to (under beds or sofas) and while I'm doing something else. The only SERIOUS challenge is that with pets (2 cats, 1 dog) it won't even always finish the room before I have to clean out all the brushes because the pet hair is wound through them even though the dust bin isn't full. My other Roomba was the "Sage" which this one beats in all other areas except the pet hair wasn't a problem. It's a good vacuum just know up front you have to clean it out after every use if you're a pet owner. If that's ok with you then I say go for it.

Cons: Pet Hair Clogs brushes

My husband and I have three dogs who shed a ton on a daily basis. Our problem is that we are both lazy and hate vacuuming. We bought a Roomba a few weeks ago and it has done an amazing job! It's crazy having a house where the living room looks freshly vacuumed all the time now. The Roomba does an excellent job of removing the dog hair; it's pretty gross emptying the bin and cleaning the brushes. The best part is that my dogs are not scared of it! They hate vacuum cleaners, and right now, they are all calmly lying on the couch with me while the Roomba does its thing on the living room floor. I really like how it made the carpet under our bed spotless. I'm hoping to get the Scooba next year for our tile floors.
