Finally used up

I have had this roomba for over two years. It had a few issues but I found customer service to be helpful. They replaced a few bits for free (like the brush housing). I ran this robot almost every day for two years. And I have two golden retrievers. Yes, I had to empty it every day and clean out the brushes but I expected that. What I didn't have to do is swiffer my floor every day. Roomba did that. However, I now have some problems that would be pricey to fix as it is no longer under warrantee. I liked the Roomba so much I'm going to get another. I just have to find the one that fits my needs. If I have one criticism is the use of plastic for some of their parts. Hair can get anywhere and will bend or stretch plastic. If all the rollers had metal housing it would help, as well as the housing for the little roller up front.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room

Battery does not last long enough

I have had three, but battery did not last long enough for the cost of the unit. Love it cleaning while getting ready for work. Cost too much to keep repalcing the battery. Probably would not recommend to anyone, unless you have the funds to keep repalcing the battery. Love the idea of it. Just wish it would last longer.

Cons: Frequent Maintenance

Does not vaccum for more than 20-25mins

I just got the 530 model and it does a decent job mainly in the kitchen and dining area (tiled floor). Does pick up small crums. But it leaves a lot as the charge runs out. Worst is that it does not go back to the home base as advertised to charge again and start. I would not pay $300 for on it or reccomend this to a friend.

Cons: Does Not Clean Stairs, Frequent Maintenance, Loses Charge Quickly

Don't last long

I liked it while it worked but I think the price was to much for something that worked for 1 year and then could not be fixed. The sensors went out.

Poor Quality

It failed after about 30 uses. just spins. It is "out of warranty" so I have to pay for the poor quality--and the replacement will probably be as bad. I had a garage robot and it was replaced and failed within weeks. I thought it was hard cleaning so I decided it was my fault. This is different. Very light use and always cleaned and it also failed. This is the last chance. if this one fails, I am done with the product.

9 beep error

I loved my roomba however it last just long enought for the warranty to run out and then I got the 9 beep error message. Irobot said it was junk and I had to replace it. I thought it was too much money for just lasting a little over a year. I'd buy another if it had a longer warranty.

Minimal Use

We were given our Roomba as a gift. We are a busy household and initially were very excited to have the Roomba. It did a good job when in use, but you had to be home to watch it, so we did not have time to use it on a regular basis. In total we probably used the Roomba maybe 20x before the warranty ran out - then it conveniently stopped working and only spins in circles. After talking to a rep about the error we find out that it cannot be fixed and we have to buy a replacement for a cost of at least $100. Disappointed and not willing to have the same thing happen again after minimal use.

Cons: Can Get Stuck, Frequent Maintenance, Noisy

A good product if maintained correctly

After the first few months, the Robot kept stopping and had to be restarted only to stop again. I discovered that the hair and thread was compacting around the gears and had to be removed by taking out all the parts (brushes, sweeper, the yellow hubs AND purple washers that held them on the ends of the axles, and also cleaning the end of the little 3rd roller wheel by removing it. This task is required every few weeks.
Pros: Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Easy to use and simple to, Empty the collection bin, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Pet Friendly, Quiet
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Does Not Clean Stairs, Frequent Maintenance, Must clean hubs and gears, Rollers binding which, Thouroughly to eliminate
