Used twice & now stopped working, one week old

Hi, I bought my crystal clear kettle last week. Used it twice and now it's not working. I turn on the boil button but it no longer lights up, does nothing. It just stopped mid-heating today, have more than min water level in it. Please advise

I’ve had one for 4 years. I use it every day and it has never let me down. I love to see the water boiling!

Great Kettle

I’ve had this kettle for about 10 years now and never a single issue with it. Maybe I got lucky but it’s been fine for me and I’m an avid tea drinker (originally from England) so it gets plenty of use most days.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not even remotely as well constructed as my 10 year old kettle

I received this kettle today. I bought it for my office kitchen as I’ve had the same model at home for about 10 years. A couple of things I notice right off the bat is that it feels lighter and not as well made as my trusty kettle bought a decade ago. The on-off switch feels flimsier, and there’s a gap between the bottom of the handle/switch cover that isn’t there on my older kettle. The kettle no longer has the rubberized base like the old one, just some hard plastic pieces that slide around on the countertop vs the older kettle staying put and having a nice dampened reassuring sound and feel when you place it down. The new kettle also shakes on the base as the water inside the kettle comes to a rolling boil, whereas the older kettle is solid and immovable. All in all this kettle feels like a cheap knock-off compared with the original kettle that I bought a decade earlier. It’s just not the same quality at all. I am frankly very disappointed and would never purchase this model again.

Great kettle - poor lid design - gets stuck

I loved the style of the kettle - the glass is elegant and it's nice to be able to see how much water is in the kettle. However, the lid design is poor as it is held by two plastic pins that are rather flimsy - on ours, the pins failed and the lid became stuck and it won't open unless pried open manually. Breville should address this critical design flaw in an otherwise classy kettle. As is, I would not recommend.
