Esy, Fun and Healthy

We wanted an easy to use ice cream maker and this has fit the bill perfectly. It's easy to set the hardness and let the machine determine the time. Plus, it tells you when to add mix ins. We love this machine and have had fun using it for ourselves and guests, even children. Highly recommend!

Broke after third use

Super disappointed that after using this machine only 3 times the button that controls the hardness setting for the ice cream stopped working and I cannot use it anymore unless I want a very soft consistency; which I don't! Huge investment and don't know what to do with the machine now. Was great before this happened.

Best Ice Cream Maker I have Ever Used

I never wrote a review on any product but I was compelled to do so for the "Smart Scoop". I have been making ice cream for our use for the past 35 years. Over the years, this is our fifth maker. Started out using two different ones using the ice and salt method, them two that require the user to freeze the mixing tub, now the best of all! We purchased the "Smart Scoop" in early November. Since then we have made over a dozen batches. All of them were perfect with much better results than any other ice cream maker we have used. Having an on-board refrigeration unit makes a world of difference!! Along with that is a cycle that will keep the ice cream ready to be used up to three hours. One plus is the power plug with a hole in the middle. Great Idea!! Perfect for putting your finger into it to pull the plug when done! Would recommend that anyone than makes Ice Cream purchase the "Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream & Dessert Book" to complete the best Ice Cream Package. Been using this book for the past 30 years. Truly a Great Ice Cream Maker that is worth the price!

Professional Homemade Ice Cream at Home!

I was on the lookout for a new ice cream maker and did a lot of research to find a good one. After plenty of research, I had to go with this one, and boy... I'm so glad I did! The machine may be expensive, but trust me, you get what you pay for! I love how you don't have to pre-freeze any bowls that way I can make ice cream whenever I want! Plus the Pre-Cool and Keep Cool Buttons are Super Convenient! Plus the hardness dial to get the exact consistency I want! But what sold me is the ice cream truck sounds to alert you your dessert is ready! I have made several desserts in this machine, and let me tell you, the results are out of this world! If you love homemade ice cream and want professional results at home, this is the machine for you!

Quick and easy perfection

I like being able to make frozen treats with fresh ingredients, no fillers or chemicals! This ice cream maker is the perfect machine to produce quick and professional results
PROS: No pre-freezing required!.Variable settings for hardness. Frozen product can be "held" in bucket. Chime alert to add ingredients ( nuts/fruits etc) Your choice of chime to notify when selected hardness is reached. Great recipes in accompanying booklet. Sturdy Construction. Produces excellent ice cream,gelato,sorbet, frozen yogurt. Professional results at home
CONS: The machine itself is quite large and heavy.
