This is my second Smart Scoop, where the first one had an internal derangement that would not allow the churn to pass beyond the softest sorbet setting. I contacted Breville and buyers should be grateful for the way that Corporate handles returns...seamlessly. I wish all companies adopted Breville's devotion to their clientele in how well cared for and listen to, I was made to feel. Truely exceptional. Second machine functions flawlessly.

Cycle does stop a bit early. It could use a bit stronger motor at the last stage , when ice cream solidifies.

User manual comes with easy to follow instructions and several recipes for gelatos, yogurts, sherbets, and ice cream. Selecting desired consistency is a simple dial turn and push 'start'. Dessert in about 25 minutes. This machine is about the size and slightly heavier than a toaster oven.

I like the Smart Scoop very much- it makes excellent ice cream. I wish you would get the extra paddle and lid cover in stock so I could purchase the extra bucket along with mentioned items- so I could have a standby.
