Unable to cool correctly and left product consistency very liquid. Machine was also extremely loud

I bought this appliance because we like ice cream but do not need all the sugar and additives. We are impressed with how easy it is to make more favorable treats with less sugar and no preservatives. From frozen yogurt to ice cream we are satisfied. And we can make small amounts as we want at times. Great product.

This is a great ice cream maker. The only flaw so far is the fact the ice cream maker will not go from pre cool right to making ice cream without pressing the start button. It would be nice if that step was removed so you don’t have to watch the machine once you start the process.

Great ice cream maker, but wearing out?

I bought my Breville Smart Scoop about 4 years ago and use it intermittently with great results. I have probably made 30 batches. The last time I used it, it took much longer to freeze and the temperature generated was a few degrees warmer than usual. I am concerned that the compressor or some other component is wearing out. Any recommendations on where I can get it serviced? I live in San Jose, CA, USA. Thanks!

The valedictorian of ice cream makers

This is a great ice cream maker. The ice creams I've made (both custard and non-custard based) have been delicious. It isn't the quietest machine, but it makes ice cream more quickly than I anticipated and is fun, too. We moved out to the country and it isn't as quick to run through a drive through for ice cream treats, and with this, we haven't missed that; we just make our own - and everything tastes even better.
