Without being very comfortable with new softwares, I was concerned about installing the wireless set up but it was really easy. The software walks you right thru it. A beginner can do it.

I just needed a scanner for some photos and saw the NX230 on sale. Checked the internet for reviews and found positive ones. So, I bought it. I am amazed at how easy it was to set this up and use quickly. I tried scanning a photo and was pleasantly surprised with it. The wireless works great! This is a great printer/scanner for a small computer area. I am very happy with my purchase.

In shopping for ink cartridges and a new scanner, I came across Epson Stylus. It's has a small footprint, it's lightweight, easy to install, and cost less than the two ink cartridges I needed for my old equipment. Colors are crisp, text is clean, and the printing process is quiet. The scanner part take a third of the time that my old scanner needed AND it's quieter, too.
I've not tried the wireless because my desktop computer isn't wireless, but judging by the rest of its functions, I should think that'll be pretty good, too.

Epson NX230

I have owned Epson printers in the past and had great experiences with them. So I purchased this one based on past experience. However, this was the worst set up and driver loading experience I have ever had. If you must have a USB cable to set up the printer and drivers, one should be provided. Everything I have is wireless so I don't have cables around. Without the USB cable you cannot set up the printer and drivers from the disc on some wireless networks. Not all the drivers were on the disc. I had to go to the website multiple times to get the proper drivers for the printer. The scanner drivers were not on the disc and were extremely difficult to get to download from the website. It took multiple attempts to get them to download and I finally had to call a technician to do it for me. I have owned wireless printers in the past from other manufacturers and not had any trouble with set up and download. The printed instructions were too cryptic to be of any use when it came to the drivers. The troubleshooting part of the instructions were very incomplete in the event of a problem with drivers. Functional use of the unit is easy and print quality is very good. Difficult set up is why I would not buy another or recommend Epson to a friend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really fast shipping on this printer. When it arrived, I had it out of the box and set up as a wireless in less than an hour. And I have never set up a printer myself! Fast and super clear printing. We will be buying a second one for the other office.....J.Diaz

I bought this all-in-one because I needed a machine that would work with Windows 7 and my old Epson did not. The size and efficiency work well in my confined work space. I like that there are four separate ink cartridges because it makes sense that some colors would be used up faster than others and I hate replacing an entire cartridge for just one color.
My one beef with the product may not be with the product at all, but with lack of support for the iPrint app. This machine is listed as being compatible, but after installing the app on both my Droid X and my Nook Color (rooted to Android), I have yet to be able to print a single page.
No where can I find a resolution for this, and while I doubt I would use the app often, it would be nice if it actually worked on the rare occasion that I wanted to use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't waste your money!

Ever seen the movie Office Space? How the characters in the movie felt about the fax machine is how I feel about this printer. It didn't recognize new ink cartridges, constantly needed to have the heads cleaned (which eats through ink) and was nothing but a waste of money. This was my first, and last, Epson purchase. And yes I did do to it exactly what they did to the fax machine in Office Space.
