After opening the box had difficulty seeing inside the printer to find where the cartridges went, so returned to the store. A young lady in the Geek Squad showed me the demo so home I went again. I'm hopeless with electronics but managed to find all the right places for the plugs and have the printer up and running. It's a neat little machine but it is pretty slow with printing. I'm never in a hurry so it doesn't matter!
I would recommend this to a friend!

installation instructions confusing & unhelpful

Why do electronics come with instructions that only techie types who don't need them can fathom?
It is NOT helpful to have line drawings that don't fully explain what to do.
The map like instructions fail to provide any detail about how to use the control panel or how to connect the printer to a wifi network once temporary usb set up is completed.
There are no instructions for how to photo copy or scan.
Connecting printer to computer instructions are contradictory and completely unclear.
Printer ok worked while usb is connected. A little noisy, but not too bad. Numbers and characters print ok, lines are fuzzy.
I hope to like this product once I can figure out ON MY OWN how to work it, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends because of the very poor installation instructions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really like the Wi-fi printer especially because I mainly use a Wi-fi laptop. The think I disliked about the printer was the fact that I had to buy the usb cord seperate. I have a secure network and could not set-up my printer without it.

Quality product for a good price

I didn't have much money to spend on a printer but needed something with decent print quality for things like photos and color printing. The set-up was straightforward, especially considering I am not very computer savvy. It took a little longer than expected, but everything went smoothly and printer connected over my wireless connection on first try. (I started with USB connection as suggested). I printed several items including text only document, color illustrated business card, and a couple of pictures. I had no trouble printing any of the items, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the finished products. I am pleased with my purchase and recommend the Epson Stylus NX230 to anyone looking for a dependable, affordable, quality printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really good

I just bought the NX230 small-In-One. The size is just perfect for small apartment living. The set up is very easy however the Wi-Fi set up can be a little frustrating. First time set up requires a USB cable which is NOT included in this purchase. Took me longer to get the Wi-Fi set up, and the company knows it. There is a disclaimer regarding the Wi-Fi setup. Enjoying the product otherwise. I highly recommend.
