Excellent Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first one a year ago and a second for the back door a few months later. Both are connected via Z-Wave to my smart home system, from which I can monitor lock status and lock and unlock both doors remotely. With advanced apps on the smart home system (SmartThings) both doors automatically lock 10 minutes after they close, just in case someone forgets.
From the outside, entry is a breeze. The keypad is very easy to use, while pressing the "LOCK" button illuminates the keys for entry at night. Programming is relatively simple at the lock itself, if a little tedious, while smart apps make remote programming a breeze.
Finally, the SmartKey feature gives the ability to re-key the cylinder myself and is a must-have feature. When we misplaced one key it was simple to re-key all locks to another key in under 30 seconds each.
I highly recommend this lock as a reliable, attractive and feature-rich device for the modern home.

Top Line Entry Control

Added this to my home security system to ease entry without worrying about lost keys, don't need one now. Also resets alarm system to make entry much simpler. With a lever handle it's a breeze to get in!

We installed this deadbolt as part of our new security system and we're so glad we did! It allows easy access and gives us a peace of mind know we have that added protection. Plus, it looks great!

Absolutely love this product. No house key anymore

Moved into a new house and bought this as a replacement for my deadbolt. Love hte product. So easy to use and manage. We no longer carry a house key. Unit light up at night if you live in low lit area. Works on my smart phone with home connect as well. Highly recommend.

Great Product from a Great Company

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Zigbee version of this lock to use with my home security company, but coulnd't tell who was entering my house despite having unique codes for each one. I switched to the Z-Wave version and use it with the VeraEdge and now not only am I notified when someone enters a code, but I know who it is. I also have the power to lock and unlock the door from hundreds of miles away. It works flawlessly.
It looks great, the batteries last a long time, and with geofencing I am able to have it unlock as I drive into my driveway -- an important feature for me as I have three dogs who travel in the car with me.
I had many questions before switching from the Zigbee version to the Z-wave one and the technical support from Kwikset is outstanding. I have never felt that they were not totally interested in my satisfaction with their products and helped me to decide to switch to the Z-wave version to satisfy my needs.
The lock is easy to install and program. It is a great product from a great company.

Convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This deadbolt is as secure as any deadbolt but I don't have to look for my keys. Especially for the barn across the road where I seemed to have always forgot to grab my keys.
