This is the easiest headset to pair and the noise canceling works great! It is light and fits okay inside your ear. I have tried many headsets and, so far, there is nothing better out there for me.
I dont like writing 16 page essay reviews so I will make this short and sweet. The sound quality coming in to your ear is tinny and poor. It also does not fit in your ear properly because the rubber ear piece is like putting a piece of hard plastic in your ear, it wont stay in even with the ear hook that does not bend o lex in any way. Sick with the old one.
This whole bluetooth experience was an interesting one at that. I have tried 2 other bluetooth headsets prior to this one and each time I ran into problems with each headset, the buttom line each one stopped working. This Jawbone 2 was the most comfortable to wear and has pretty good reception most of the time. This headset needs to touch your jaw to work properly and you need to find the right size ear hook to ensure snug fit, which it has many included It not a perfect headset but its gets the job done and it so far has worked better then two other headsets I have used. The headset still works good after having it for over a month, hurrah!!! Its easy to charge and the battery life is okay for me it hasent quit on me yet. If you don't have too high of expectations and don't drop it, you should have a good experience with this headset. Remember the technology is still relatively new for these types of devices, give it time to iimprove.
Does not properly fit ear, does not eliminate noise nearly as good as original, internal ear bud does not fit ear canal... urghhh! why mess with a good thing.
My wife and I each bought the Jawbone II when we got our iPhone 3Gs on day 1 of sale. I spent the next several days getting the iPhone activated. When I finally got around to using the Jawbone II I found that it would not work. Charged until it indicated full charge it would shut down after a minute or so and never was able to pair it with the iPhone. I shelved it for a while and tried again by charging it over night. The white indicator light said full charge this AM, but it will not even turn on.
My wife's experience was minimally better. She got hers to pair initially but within minutes the battery was exhausted. No amount of recharging would make it function properly or for any length of time.
We are returning them before our 30 days expire.
At 2 for 2, I think we will look for a different brand.
The jawbone never fit properly on my ear regardless of the size ear loop. The noise inside was eliminated but outside little noise was eliminated. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
I have an iPhone and wanted to get an earpiece worthy of the phone. The Plantronics I have fits good and sounds good on the user side, but sometimes loses pairing with iPhone, So every store I visited said Jawbone was the one to get--everyone sold out, Found Jawbone 2 at AT&T store, Charged it, paired fine, made a test call--sounded like bad! Also could not get a solid fit on my ear regardless of combination of earclip/earpiece. I don't care how good it sounds on the other end if people sound poor quality on my side and it falls off my ear. I've already been through two other earpieces that went "underfoot"--literally! Going to stick with the Plantronics and use the corded buds/mike that iPhone came with until something good comes out.
I think this is a great product, fits really well and this does not fall off, even with the hanging ear piece off, it still stays on quit tight. THe noise cancellation piece works like a charm...I just cant figure how to put it on search for other phones to use.
