I purchased this GE profile thinking buying the profile series meant it would last longer. I basically use it to heat water for coffee in the morning and reheat leftovers occasionally. We have had it 5 years and with the amount of use I am very disappointed in the product. Like all the other reviews I have read, where is the recall for the touchpad? Will not buy GE to replace this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Key pad no longer works

This came with the home we bought in October of last year. The appliance was brand new and never used before we moved in. The touch screen no longer works. Unplugging/resetting the microwave worked for a week but now even that doesn't work anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Touch Pad failure

Wow, touch pad slowly failed after unplugging and plugging back in several times, I am surprised that with so many similar negative comments that this microwave model has received GE isn’t standing by their product and recalling or fixing this. My entire kitchen is all GE profile.
