GEe this was a mistake

Garbage. 2010 Mfg date. Repaired twice and now keypad finally died (was intermittent for the last year). Am shopping now for a replacement. Guess which brand it won't be.

Broke 3 times over 2 years

This microwave was in my house when I bought it. The vent and light buttons are plastic spring loaded, not touch pad. The springs broke in the first three months, but were covered under the warranty. One year later the same parts broke with no warranty coverage. Now the touch pad screen is frozen. If this represents the quality of GE, I will never again buy a GE appliance.

Infuriating

Came with the house I bought and same issue as everyone else! The plastic top piece fell off at random, the microwave and keypad stop working intermittently. I will not be replacing with GE since this issue is well known and nothing was recalled or done about it despite the obvious and consistent problem and reviews.

Worst Microwave Oven Ever Made!!!!!!

I purchased a brand new condo and unfortunately for new condo owners, this microwave came with other GE Profile appliances, e.g., refrigerator, oven, dishwasher. The only saving grace is that the other GE Profile appliances haven't died like this microwave has. Approximately a year ago, the microwave started acting up, i.e., touch pad working intermittently, whereby I had to unplug the unit multiple times, sometimes dozens of times to make it work . . . Fast forward for a month or so, it would work fine, then the same thing would happen and I would have to repeat the drill of resetting the touch pad. Additionally, the vent broke - cheap plastic parts being the culprit, where the part broke and the attached spring had nothing to attach to, whereby the vent would open and close during cooking . Consequently, I had to jury rig a fix where the vent would open up when I microwaved something. The last thing which occurred and I believe can not be fixed is the heating element (magnetron?) or possibly the door or diode . . . I don't exactly know. However, the unit does everything normally, but heat. In short, it is worthless to me. I will NEVER purchase a GE appliance again. This is a terrible product . . . 'Nuff said.

LCD pad fails

Came with the house, LCD pad keeps failing. Unplugged it and replugged it in and it worked for 2 weeks only to fail again. Took it apart, couldn't find the fault. Sometimes it works sometimes not at all. I won't go on seeing it's discontinued..bottom line it was a bad product and too costly to get fixed...next one won't be GE product.
