INside started peeling within 1 year

love the look, but somehow they missed an operation/step in painting the inside - it started peeling within a year of owning. What a mess -- scrapping , repaiting, still - the paint comes off. GE's not as good a brand as it use to be.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

By the time i had installed it, the tray no longer would spin. dealt with that for two years and then it stopped working.

In two years of time, the microwave is shot. It turns on, but produces no wave of heat inside. Terrible choice. Ten year old unit other unit at home still works. Is GE making these units for show only? Is there any value to this anymore?

Lasted 3 years and now it is unreliable

We bought this in July 2011 to replace another GE Profile MW, trying to keep the same look as before. It worked fine for 3 years, but for the last 6 months it has been undependable. Sometimes we start the MW and it makes the fan noise, but does not heat and does not count down. Other times we remove our plate and close the door and the MW starts on its own. Once or twice is nothing, but now it seems to be 50 percent of the time. we can no longer count on dinner being ready on time. This is model PEB2060SM2SS and it is the 2.0 cu. ft. 16" turntable model. Hope i can find a better unit somewhere.

bad reliability

The microwave was installed by builder in to new home and broke on 13 months. Wouldn't turn on one fine morning. Builder said they can't help as all warranty requests should be send to GE.

After two years of owning this product in a new home it stopped working. This is my second GE microwave same thing keeps happening with any GE product I seem to purchase.
