We first purchased this microwave in 2007 because of the size, look and reviews of this microwave. Then in April 2011 it started on fire. Yes FIRE. We chalked it up to a faulty model and purchased another one. 1 month later the door would stick so we got it fixed under warranty. Now, 17 months later it completely stopped working. It's crazy to me that this microwave is so poorly put together.

Poor build quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box encountered poor door latch fit which required you to slam the door to get the light to go out and to be able to operate. Plastic ring under glass turntable cracked in less that 3 months, fan motor had to be replaced due to excessive noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a counter top model that we had built in with a s/s surround and it is very functional & beautiful. Thinking of purchasing another one because I know they don't last a lifetime. I love the 30 second feature.

THis product is horrible

I have to second the comment about this microwave requiring one to slam the door to get the latch to connect correctly inorder for the machine to turn on and work. I had to return this one and get another....after one week--new and different problem. Now once the door is closed, the unit wont stop being on!!! Pause/Termination buttons do not work. Fed up with this nonsense from GE.
