Replacement for GE Profile PEM31SM3SS?

Hi, I am looking for a replacement for PEM31SM3SS...I need one that is the exact size in height/width/depth as it is build into my cabinet area with out a trim kit.

NEED REPLACEMENT

This microwave worked great for 10+ years. Buy it's dead and I can find no replacement that will fit the custom cabinet we built for it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me an adequate replacement.

No replacement fits

Who was the genius who decided to make the “replacement” model 1/4” wider on a built-in microwave? After 8 years the PEM31SM4SS stopped working and nothing fits in the space. If only I could move the cabinets 1/4 inch to the right or left but that won’t happen. I can hire someone to make the microwave space a functional shelf. I’ll have to find another brand microwave to occupy valuable counter space.

Can't leave it plugged in

I had this less than 2 months when I had to have it serviced because it wouldn't turn off unless you left the door open or unplugged it. 18 months after the servicing it started doing it again, in fact, it has even started without anyone being near it. The last thing I do before I go to bed or leave the house is make sure it's unplugged. Now it's starting to make a slight hissing noise when it cooks, so needless to say, this thing has got to go and I WON'T get another GE

As a cabinetmaker/kitchen designer, I'm always looking for the best bang for the buck for my customers. When it comes to building in a microwave into a custom kitchen, this one is my 'go to' unit. I've installed a least a dozen over the years since it was introduced including my own kitchen. All of my customers love it. It's sleek, fits into an upper cabinet depth, has most of the features of higher-priced units and, if it does need maintenance, it's easily removed. Of course any appliance out of the box might experience a problem and that's unfortunate. In my experience, however, there haven't been any failures so don't let that be your final decision maker.

not a replacement for JEM 31

Had to replace 3rd JEM 32 (over 20 yrs),
Got a PEM31 in stainless steel. Installed with existing hanger kit and door would not open as there is another cabinet to the left. I assumed (bad move) that the stainless overly was culprit and exchanged for a black version. Tried to install but found rear hanger holes changed. Redrilled but door still will not open. Now I am stuck with this microwave on the counter and an unsightly gap in my cabinets.

Would be a nice product if door opened correctly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the look of this microwave as well as the features, but within less than 2 weeks of use, the door would not open properly when the button was depressed. The door would not pop open so it was necessary to open it manually when the latch was released, but there is not door handle. I had a service technician come and take a look at it; he made some adjustments and it seemed better while he was here, but within 2 hours of his leaving it was doing the same thing. He said it was the "best" he could do. Meanwhile, I have a brand new microwave which is not functioning properly. I push the button to open the door with one hand and have to use my other hand to pull the door open from underneath.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this less than 3 years ago, paint on ceiling of interior is peeling and today a sharp burning electrical smell started. I need this size because it fits in a space under a cabinet, but wish I could get another manufacturer.
