You get what you pay for.

Fit and finish on this product is average at best. Materials used to construct this product, are not consistant with what I expected from the GE Profile line. We bought this unit to replace a similar model from 10 years ago. The unit from 10 years ago had better construction, appearance, and overall quality of look and feel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This model doesn't even defrost well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Either I have a lemon or something is up. The same model which I replaced after 9+ years, because that was nearing the life expectancy of a microwave, does not perform nearly as well as my old one. I am not happy.

Does the trick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good microwave. Looks nice, fits were I needed it to fit. like the 30 second button and the easy minute choice.
Have to wait a few seconds after it has started if you want to add 30 seconds to the time.
Has the ability to turn the turntable on and off. Has timer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our kitchen was remodeled 8 years ago and this is the only microwave that fits in the designated space. This is our third in 8 years. This one has less stainless trim and the trim it does have on the lower right where the button for the door release is, pops up each time the release is pressed. It is very flimsy. The interior has a different finish and that might prove to be a good thing as the finish on our last one deteriorated and flaked off and into whatever was in the microwave.

Paint peeling and falling into food...

My unit is just over two years old. Doesn't get much use. The paint on the ceiling of it is peeling and falling into the food. After researching online this seems to be a common issue. GE is aware. Folks are being told to "re-paint" it.

Three repair visits since February 2013 install!

Door latch sticks. It's been "adjusted" three times; finally repairman ordered a new mechanism which is waiting at my home so that when the door latch quits working again it can at least be replaced.

Bought this product in August. The first problem was the stainless steel trim kept popping off. Then a week ago it stopped heating. On the plus side, the GE repair man was extremely courteous and competent.
