There is an under-advertised feature in Lockscreen

I love this phone. I accidently discovered the Facial Recognition feature in Lockscreen setup. This allows the phone to unlock on recognition of your face.
Pros for this:
Very fast
Less finger time on the screen
Adds a bit of security as to who can answer your phone

Cons
Subject to facial rejection in bad lighting (overcome by using recommended pin or pattern as backup unlock)

In conclusion I would buy the Note 2 for this feature alone

I've had high expectations of this phone since it was announced. When I finally picked up mine I was very pleased. All of Samsung's recent phones seem to have top quality displays and this one is "HUGE". Some may have issues with the size but it fits well in my medium sized hands (and most of my pockets too). Battery life is not overstated, with moderate use I get nearly two days per charge. I do recommend a spare battery though, swap them after each discharge and you will minimize wear and tear on your batteries and always have a backup. Great job Samsung!

So far, I really like this phone. It has a lot of state of the art features, and the S Pen is amazing. I love being able to switch to writing by hand when I'm getting frustrated with my slow phone-keyboard typing speed. It's also pretty awesome for taking notes in my college classes.
It would be nice if it offered a little more in the personalization department, like more widgets. I found it kind of annoying that there wasn't a digital clock widget that was just.. a plain digital clock. I had to choose between the bulky one with the weather included or one with dual clocks for two different time zones. I don't need two clocks in one and I prefer to use the wunderground widget for my weather. Analog clocks are a little trickier for me to just glance at quickly and know the time. Luckily, apps make up for this shortfall.
I've also had an odd issue with some Android-specific service hogging up 25% or more of the total CPU on occasion, which caused lag. It seemed to have been related to a widget app; either Elixer 2, Zooper, or Beautiful Widgets. I'm not really sure yet.
Pros: Bright display, large screen, loud speakers
Cons: lacking in built-in customization features

I upgraded to this phone from a Samsung galaxy charge, one of the first 4g phones. It is amazingly faster and the screen is much easier to see.
The decision to stay with the same brand was based on the ease of transfering my existing sd card from the old phone.
I like having the ability to expand the memory and have access to the battery, somthing that was not available on tye other phone I was considering. I do miss the HDMI port but that was easily remedied by the purchase of a "smart dock" wich provides for HDMI out as well as 3 usb and 1 audio outputs. Overall performance, expansion and versatility has more than met my expectations. The amount of new things that can be done with this phone is a bit overwhelming but the help files and video tutorials are great

I haven't had this phone long but I can already tell it's far superior to any other I have owned. It is a large phone, but it's capabilities and ease of use are great.

Awesome Phablet

I have been waiting to get this product for over a year. I wanted to get the original Note when it came out, but Verizon Wireless didn't carry it. I am so STOKED and the wait was definitely well worth it. The Note 2 - has got to be the best combination of cell phones and tablets ever imagined. I am a big boy so the size is actually a plus and not an issue to me. My eye sight is fading so the big screen makes reading e-mails, facebook, etc... a whole lot easier. The Note 2 respond time to functions is amazingly fast. I still have a lot more to learn about what this Phablet can do and am excited to find out.
