Best phone ever

I love my Note! It has wonderful reception, a great camera and it is big enough for these more "experienced" eyes to be able to see everything on it. I have not had any problems with this phone and I use it all day, every day. It is a workhorse and just keeps on working. I can flip between apps and calls, texts to apps, you name it and it does it. Defintiely worth every penny and Verizon provides impeccable coverage.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Waste Your Money - Terrible reception compared to other cellphones

I have had my Note for 6 months now and I have a Hate-Love relationship with it. I love the OS, screen, and features that come with it. I hate using it as a cellphone or hot spot. I cannot get decent or sometimes any reception where everyone else standing near me can. It only runs on 4Glte, 4g, E or G. Forget about 3G, it doesn't utilize that channel so your reception is either great or terrible. I have this problem everywhere that is listed as having the "best" coverage, suburbs, Chicago, etc... The hotspot service I am paying to have access to is a waste because most of the time the signal being used is too slow to run another device off of. I went to the dealer I purchased it from and they couldn't understand why it was so bad, even tried giving me a new SIM card. If I wasn't locked into a 2 year contract I would switch providers and get a different phone in a heartbeat.
Pros: large display, good battery life
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, misrepresented features, does not run on 3g
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent product

This works for everything I want to do and it has replaced both my iPhone 5 and my Nexus 10 and significantly reduced the usage of my computer. The screen size is amazing for browsing the internet, watching Netflix/Hulu, and reading ebooks.
Pros: Bright display
I would recommend this to a friend!

Neat device with some frustrating problems

The Note 2 is very slick and smooth going from screen to screen and the S Pen delivers for the most part. The handwriting recognition is better than expected. It is nice that is is quad band UMTS along with the LTE.
The size is not really as much of a problem as one might think.
However, there are some frustrating problems. If you don't need these features, it might be a great device for you. First thing is that it lacks the "delayed lock" feature that was wrongly removed from Ice Cream Sandwich. Having to enter password or PIN or Pattern each time I press power button is a pain. Third party apps don't seem to work to get around this issue. That feature alone might cause me to return it despite the cool styles since security is a must these days :-(
The multi-app thing is cute but not terribly useful on a product this size. I await the Galaxy Note 10.1 with LTE to be able to multi screen with that device.
The second really annoying thing i have found is that Samsung locks the APN list for using the phone on other carriers. It is not SIM locked since i can make voice calls with other SIMs but Samsung will not allow me to use mobile data with other SIMs. Therefore, since I can make calls, the carrier has elected not to SIM-lock the device and Samsung should honor that choice by allowing APN editing. Thus its not really a world phone since one can only use it on partner networks and @ increased cost.
So if you only use the phone on its home network and dont use the screen lock then I recommend this product.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, stylus
Cons: Did not meet expectations, apn locked; not really a world phone, clumsy lock screen

this is a great phone and would have probably given all 5 stars had verizon not taken away the ability to root it. i bought this a day or or two to late and didn't get the chance to refuse the update from verizon to lock the phone out from being able to root it and use it at its full potential. would be very nice if you could use any app you wanted in the multi window feature!!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dont waste the money if you have verizon

The phone is awesome but it could be so much better especially for how much money I paid. I am pretty dissatisfied. Verizon takes out a lot of the features that complete the phone. I bought the phone because i wanted to browse the web, text all while having youtube in the background but verizon does not allow that feature which is very upsetting. You cant customize the multitask bar like you can on the att and sprint network. So I would save your money if you have verizon go with the gs3.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations
