I was pleased and surprise to know the features of Note II after a two month of use. I was disappointed with my previous SII due to issues, but this phones is too different of what I expected. Note II will be a phone of future that combines phone and tablet. Way to go Samsung!!!!
Pros: Bright display, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have owned blackberry, windows, other android devices, and by far the best device I have ever owned. I have had it for just over a week, have not used my computer or my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 since getting it. I dont think I will ever own another brand, cant wait to see the Note III
Pros: Bright display, multi tasking, processor
Cons: none yet

I Love Love Love my phone!

I went into the store to look at smart phones. I had a very popular brand and I still had a year to go on my contract, but I was curious as to what the new smart phones looked like. While in there, I started playing with the Galaxy Note 2. I fell in love with it and purchased it then and there even at the cost of the remainder of my contract. I just couldn't wait a whole year to own it. I have not regretted my decision for one moment. This phone is just amazing!

Pros outweigh the cons

Keep in mind this review is based on MY experience, and not that of every user. Your preferences may vary.
CONS
1) It's really too big to be a one-handed device and it doesn't feel as though it was intended to be used much in landscape orientation. For example, the keyboard (when in landscape) takes up far too much vertical space. In some scenarios it doesn't even allow enough space to see what you're typing. Disabling the predictive text row still isn't enough. The option to disable the number row might fix this.
2) The Menu and Back softkeys are too easy to accidentally hit with the palm/lower part of the thumb. In my opinion the Home button should be touch-activated while the Menu and Back buttons should be physical - the opposite of the current configuration.
3) I think I'd prefer the Power/Sleep button at the top - it's too easy to accidentally hit in its current location.
4) The battery cover is difficult to remove/install. Either make it easy or non-removable.
PROS
1) Screen size is very comfortable without making the phone too big to carry/use.
2) S-pen is handy.
3) Battery life is very good.
4) Camera quality is surprisingly good.
5) The user interface is very customizable.
6) Expandable storage is very convenient.
7) Though difficult, the option to swap batteries is very convenient.
In my opinion, while the OS is good, it's not as great as the hardware. It's clear that Samsung has made every effort possible via TouchWiz to bring the OS up to the phone's high standards but I'd still like to see a true Samsung OS and app store made available.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, ingenuity, fast, dependable, optional accessories, customizable
Cons: messy os, disorganized app store, difficult to disassemble
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this phone!

I had the original galaxy note and thought I grew out of "big" phones until I revisited the huge phone market with the note 2. This phone is awesome. Love the S-Pen, multi view, hardware specs, and basically everything about it. Longest lasting Android phone I've had. Got this phone at a great deal too with an awesome plan.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight

After finally getting my Note II, I can say without a doubt that my search for the perfect phone is over...Being an IT Technician, I needed a multi-functional, multi-tasking phone. My Galaxy Note II allows me to do it all while on the go! No matter what I've tried to do, I've done quickly, and flawlessly. I personally can't even imagine any phone being better...Way to go Samsung !!!!

Phone of the Future

My first smartphone was the iphone 4s and I absolutely loved that phone. However, switching to the Galaxy Note 2 has been life changing!
When I purchase a phone I look for a device that will be almost like a mobile PC, or a tablet all in one. Think of "Ziggy" from the old TV series Quantum Leap, where the characters were able to do everything and anything with that little gatchet!
Back to the phone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has loads of features that are really intuitive and easy to learn for any first time user. It comes with a wide range of apps including the Office suite that allows you to create and edit microsoft office files on the go! The HD display is awesome and the sheer fact that I can play videos in 1080p on a phone is amazing. I havent messed around with the stylus too much yet, however, I've let a friend use it and it seems to work better than most styluses I've seen. The built in cameras are great, and they allow you to easily zoom in and out of shots. Also, the greatest feature available on the cameras is the focus. With one touch of your finger you can focus to any object in your view even when zoomed in!
I really wouldnt consider the following as cons, but a few things that I wish were expanded upon:
I wish you could change the lock screen background since the default one is boring. - Possibly allow for dynamic lock screens?
Coming from the iphone i really dont like how the home button functions... I pops up a screen that allows you to toggle between recent apps / google+ / system resources. - Maybe allow users to change the way the button functions?
The phone has a great deal of RAM, (for a phone), however, I wouldnt mind seeing a little more...It seems like background services use up about a third of the systems ram all the time.
The expansion slot for the phone is great, however, I wish there was more core memory on the phone... With such a great device I've been storing whole tv series on my device which takes up a ton of memory.
The camera is great, however, even after zooming in objects still seem a little bit further than they really are.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: limited memory
