I used and loved the iPhone for few years; it was undoubtedly the best smartphone ever, but not anymore. Note 2 has taken the spot. It is an excellent device with beautiful giant screen; Great performance & innovation from Android and Samsung combined. Few cons like the lock button placement, no physical mute switch, some issues with headphones, and battery hogger Google Now (it's also scary how it store everything you do or wherever you go). I would definitely recommend Galaxy Note 2; also would suggest the iOS users to try it for few weeks to see what they are missing. :)
Dear iPhone, Sorry to let you know I have to let you go, it's been the great previous 6 years ongoing journey with you, however I have found my true love. Ever since I met the Note 2, I realized she is ALL I WANT~!!! I am "IN LOVE" with my Note 2, It makes me feels I should have met her earlier~! I think it's because of me, I've changed, you've been keep everything the same for the last 6 years, the way you look is the same as 6 years ago, the way you interact with me is the same as 6 years ago as well... in someway it is good, but it's also boring. Love require both person of us to experience and create that little spark in our live.. obviously we totally lack of that for the last 3 years. I changed, but you don't.... Love XXX & Note 2
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: none

I've had different phones. HTC, Iphone (sadly), Motorola. This is the best phone I've owned so far. It's fast and looks beautiful. The people that are saying that the phone is too big just doesn't get it. I use the bluetooth so I don't hold it up to my face. Thats for old people. lol JK. I love the phone. did I say I love the phone?
This is my second of many galaxy series phones and by far the best phone on the market! It is sooo hard to do a short review on this phone but I'll do my best. Here we go! Some of the many Pros: -Battery Life: The battery life is amazing I can go throughout the whole day alternating 4G and wifi without having to charge in the middle of the day which I love since I would 12 hours at a time! -Size: Of course its a huge phone which i love! Yes the size could be a deal breaker but its the perfect size for view pictures, watching videos, and texting. Talking on the phone is kind of hard but its not impossible but its always good to have headphones or bluetooth headsets handy -S pen: Fits great in my hands and feels like im using a real pen! It is so easy to write on the screen with the pen and Samsung put a tons of features on the phone that work are made just for the s pen. I love how you get an alert on the phone when you have gone to far away from the S pen so you won't leave it behind in a hurry -Pop up player: All you have to do is hoover the S pen over a video or photo and a mini screen pops up with a preview of a video, photo, or even photo album -Multi Window: One of my favorite features on the NoteII so far! Basically you can have two apps running at the same time side by side in the same screen! For example I can write this review in the browser and text my girlfriend without closing out an app! -S pen gestures: A really neat s pen feature that you can make up gestures to activate different apps. For example to quickly turn on my 4G I can pull up my gestures app (quickly available in the notifications bar) write the word on (the gesture I easily created) and it instantly turns on my 4G when I don't have wifi available -Keyboard: The keyboard is crazy big and make it so easy to text! I love how the numbers and letters are on the same screen so i dont have to shift back in forth to input a number -S Note: The best way to take notes on a phone by far! S note provides numerous ways to take notes, create scrapbooks, and draw out sketches. It is very pro business owner, idealist, and student! One of my favorite s note featues is the shape match which allows you to draw a shape like a square for example and its perfects the shape for you!
The very few Cons: -Data on/off toogle: On the verison phone I have there is no way to quickly turn on and off data on the phone from the notification bar like there is on my Galaxy SIII but it is still possible either from the settings or quickly by making a s pen gesture as i explained earlier -Tid bit pricy: being a huge phone with the size of the battery, screen, and being full of great features the price def fits but yes the price is high but def worth it -Noise Reduction: On the other end of the phone the person has been able to hear my tv at the same volume whether my noise reduction was on or off so either it doesn't work well or something is going on with my particular phone but its not bad at all just kind of a let down
Well that is my review! Hope it helps and hope there isn't too many typos enjoy!
I rarely give out a 5-star rating for any product, but this one deserves it. Simply put, this device has no real weaknesses. It does everything well. Any criticisms I have are really more nit-picking than complaining. Is it perfect in every way? No, because there is no such device. But I honestly have no legitimate complaints.
The only thing I didn't give it five stars for was Value, and that's only because it's $100 more than most initial subsidized (U.S.) prices for other flagship, top-of-the-line smartphones. But is it worth it? Definitely.
The size is fantastic, which was ironically the only thing that caused me to delay the purchase. I thought it would simply be too big. But after a day or two, everything else just seemed puny. This story is repeated over and over again on the forums.
The S-pen has some amazing features, although I haven't used it a lot yet. TouchWiz is very much an acquired taste, so there is that. But some people swear by it, so I can't ding it for something so subjective.
One disappointment is the unavailability of the 32GB and 64GB versions. These elusive creatures have yet to be seen in the U.S. A 64GB (or even 128GB) version would be smartphone Nirvana!
The screen is simply gorgeous. Yes, LCD displays are brighter, but the contrast ratios on this thing are off the chart, so images just pop off the screen. With a little tweaking of settings, you can get pretty good brightness levels, even in bright lighting, without the washed out look that you often have with LCD displays.
If you are looking for a smartphone that will set you apart from the pack and give you class-leading features and performance, look no further. This is it. The Samsung Galaxy Note II is simply the best.
Cons: 32 and 64gb versions unavailable, pricey (but worth it imho)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Outstanding alternative to iOS phones

I purchased the Note II as an upgrade to my previous phone from another manufacturer. The android operating system was easy to learn and has a significant amount of flexibility. I was able to customize the phone to suit me, which was something I could not do on my other device. After using the Note II for about 2 months I am extremely pleased with it. The processor is fast, the touch screen is accurate and responsive and the large screen is great for video as well as web surfing. The stylus comes in handy, although admittedly, I have not found a lot of use for it yet.
The only complaint that I have is that the plastic frame (not the actual back of the phone, just the edges) is easily damaged. Any kind of impact will dent the plastic, and it isn't easily replaced or repaired.
If you are considering a change from the other popular Smartphone brand, I would highly recommend spending some time playing with the Note II before you make a final decision.
