I came from a Droid Bionic and am very happy with the Galaxy Note II. The S Pen functionality is intriguing, and the quality of the device is great (as well as the quality of the very large screen). The only caveat is that the learning curve on the large size of the unit is a bit steep—handling it effectively often requires two hands. However, this is all part of the deal of such a large phone!

Awesome. Love the pen it comes with. Also, the dual application on the screen at the same time. Screen size give a lot of real estate to work with. Lovely device.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight, pen, screen size
Cons: build quality not great. poor plastic.

Once you have it in your hands it will not seem "big". Plus it is fairly lightweight for it's size. I am coming from the "other" smart phone and you would be hard pressed to find a better OS than Jelly Bean. With a 3100ma battery I use the phone all day and still have a 40% charge when I plug it in for the night. The only negative I can think of is lack of aftermarket accessories.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Not high def, accessories

This phone has everything. its the first phone that I am completely satisfied in every aspect. Cant wait for the next big thing cuz I will be getting it.

Great phablet with almost every feature you could want

I have owned four galaxy line phones, and they each get better than the last. This is such a smooth phone. I can't imagine using anything else. The size takes a little getting used to, but after a couple of weeks this seems normal and everything else is tiny. If I have any complaints, it would be that when holding the phone in your hand, it is very slippery. A built-in kickstand would be nick, but it's not a deal breaker.

Cons: slippery case, lack of built in kickstand

This is an excellent phone. My iPhone friends envy how fast apps open and it doesn't feel too big to me. It fits nicely in my front or back pocket.

Big, Fast, Capable...Wifi Issues

Love the speed and screen size. Has been a godsend when traveling on business and trying to find motels. Google Maps navigation works fantastically on the Note 2. I absolutely hate typing on it and wish it had a physical keyboard, so I also carry a 4G BlackBerry on which I do 99% of my typing. Really miss spellcheck, especially as difficult as it is to type on the very-sensitive virtual keyboard. Call quality is very good. On our two Samsung Tab 2 10.1 tablets and on the Note 2, I have wifi connection issues; it seems from reading online that others do, too. Still, I have highly recommended this phone to others many times.
Pros: Bright display, extremely fast
Cons: keyboard very sensitive

Greatest Phone I've Ever Owned Hands Down

Switching to the Samsung Galaxy Note II was the greatest decision phone wise that I have ever made. The Galaxy Note II is the perfect size and looks great, I can't stand a phone that freezes up or has a lot of lag and the Note II does not disappoint as the Quad core processor is the fastest I have ever used with no lag or freezing at all. The S Pen is the greatest thing ever invented, I have found so many uses for it and the S Pen makes using the phone so much more enjoyable. I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy Note II over any other smartphone on the market! I love my Note II
