Very happy, no regrets.

I bought this back in July 2007 when I had to wait for it to be released. Pictures are terrific. Like anything, it pays to read the owner's manual before you use it. I recently ordered an external flash to go with it so expecting even better flash pictures. I use this camera for professional reasons at times and NEVER disappointed. The ISO 1600 isn't terribly bad if there is a light colored background otherwise will appear grainy. The ONLY con is the memory card location, but if you use a 2gb or higher, you should never have to worry about it. Great Camera.
Pros: Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, good battery life, durable
Cons: memory card location

Great camera!

My husband bought it for me for Mother's Day in 2008. I love this camera. It takes great pictues and I use it multiple times/week between taking pics of the kids and pictures for my on-line photography shop. My sister even used it for taking video of my c-section when my daughter was born in November so that we could send them to my husband who was deployed. The video files were clear and the audio was crisp.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

great camera makes me want real dsl

this is a great camera, i love the added lenses. i have a flash for it and filters.
you get some vinyetting on macro shots with a macro lens but nothing you cant live with.
i wish i had gotten a dsl now, it really has so many features that it is almost a dsl.... but so easy to use!
love this camera and use it for my photos that i sell and display.
Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, good battery life, durable, like a dsl and point and shoot, takes regular aaa batteries, can add filters, great for macros photography
Cons: Complicated controls/menu, Heavy/Bulky

A good buy for outdoor High Quality Pictures

I bought this camera about two years ago giving a edge on S3IS and found it one of the best camera for its mid price range and awesome picture quality. I was going to buy SLR but only decided to purchase it for its price and quality. Although the night pictures are not that good with its built in flash. I would recommend this for first timers switching from "point and shoot" cameras to this one over SLRs.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance

I miss my camera so much :( It broke and my warrenty was at a store that dosnt carry this camera anymore! Best camera Ive ever owned :( I just got a replacement powershot sx200 is today but the one feature that I REALLY wanted that this dont have is the flip screen!!! Best feature on the camera Loved it!!!

I Like This Camera

I found this camera to be very good for my hiking in the woods others have siad it is heavy but I found it be a lot less than my old film camera with a 300 mm lens, and because I puchased a telephoto lens and wide angle lens I still carry a lot with me. I'm not inpressed with low light fotos but I wasn't with my other camera. The only things I don't like about it is the lens cap falls off very easy and they do not offer a clear glass filter it protect the expense lens. Use good rechargable batteries for longer life. The fact that it uses AA batteris is plus.

Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance, lens cap falls off all the time, no protective glass filter available

Great starter camera

This is a great camera for someone starting out in photography but can't afford a DSLR. Except for the interchangible lens, it comes with a lot of features to make it easy to step up into a DSLR when you're ready.
Pros: great zoom, easy to start out with, swivel lcd is a plus, good flash
Cons: slow between flashes, Short battery life, lens cap pops off too easily

I LOVE MY CAMERA! The only thing that I don't like is that the flash takes a few seconds longer than I'd like to charge between photos taken inside. Other than that, I LOVE IT!
