It's not a bad camera if you just one a higher level camera to have fun with. Otherwise I recommend a different one.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Bright LCD, Good Low-Light Performance
Cons: Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, Short battery life

I have power adaptor CA-PS700 but need PS700 N. They both share the same p/n - 7875A002AA. The PS700 N has a longer cord on the camera connector and the cord is red and black. Does anyone know where I can get 20 of these PS700 N ?
Pros: add a pro
Cons: add a con

Advanced User Guide and user interface.
on August 24, 2009

The Advanced Camera User Guide that came with the camera is very poorly written, difficult to follow, and often forces you to hop around in the book to get full information on what you're looking for. The poorly designed user interface and poorly designed graphic icons do not result in a happy, intuitive user experience.
Cons: Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, bad user interface, poorly written instruction book, badly designed and difficult to read graphic icons, ineffective shake control, lens cap never stays on
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not what I expected

This camera works fine in bright sunlight, but when light is poor, so is the camera. The image quality from flash pictures is AWFUL! I like the video capabilities, and I'm very happy with the daylight shots.
It would be nice if the lens cap stayed on without having to resort to duct tape!
Pros: Nice features/settings, Bright LCD
Cons: Poor Low-Light Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Woudn't buy again

So we bought this last Christmas and everything has been working fine until you find out that the date/time can NOT be printed out on a picture which we need as we are having our second child and want dates on them....then to find out the the time is on military time. I'm not sure about you but I certainly don't need time set on military time. Our old powershot (the compact one) seems to take clearer pictures and it costs less.
