Great features,but, excessive maintainence

Performs very well. However the shiny black surface is very, very difficult to clean after each use. Smudges and streaks require major effort to remove. The cleaner provided is a chore to use and remove. Would have preferred to use a normal kitchen surface spray and wipe solution which produce a shiny streak- free look.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the smooth top!

I replaced a 17 year old GE profile glass cook top with this one. It is very similar but what sold me was NO NOBS to clean around. I like the numbered settings as opposed to the dials on the older one. It is more accurate and easier to replicate later. It does show streaks more easily ; but the cleaner that came with it does an excellent job of keeping it beautiful and shiny with little or no effort. It heats much faster and maintains the settings well. Pricey! but you get what you pay for.

I really like that it has no knobs so it is easy to clean. It also has a lock feature which is nice for cleaning the top without turning the unit on and off as you clean.

Good Cooktop overall
