Took less than 30 min. to install. I had to use a trim kit because the cutout from our previous cook top was too large.
Both the stove and the trim kit worked out very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased this cook top along with GE Profile Series built-in oven, microwave and refrig for our complete kitchen remodel project in August 2013. The cooktop looks very sleek and created the look I wanted. The cook top is the first appliance people comment on when they see our completed project. I really like the instant boil burner feature. Very happy the products!

Took a little to get used to as I had a very old range but I do love it. Cooks evenly, fast and clean up is great. Only negative is the dust and left over crumbs get lost in the corners- difficult to clean there.

Trim not worth the extra cost....

This is my second GE cooktop. The last one worked great but something heavy broke the corner. So I purchased the pp945sm3ss with the stainless steel trim. The smooth design and features are awesome. It heats up quickly and cooks evenly. It cost more for the stainless steel trim and after one a week, the trim has many, many scratches! Really?! So disappointed in the trim. So not worth the extra money. Buy one without it.
The glass part of the cooktop still looks brand new with no scratches.
