Caused Mold

I bought this less than a year ago, and it's already infested with mold because the unit does not drain water. So when I spotted mold all over my unit after having it less than a year, I looked at the back of the unit and there was a large amount of standing water and gunk. It was a nightmare to try to clean, and I was so frustrated. The unit worked fine, I was just very displeased with the design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh no, Jnhickm1! I can certainly understand how disappointing this may have caused you. Proper tilting of your air conditioner, as described in your Installation Instructions that came with your A/C, will assist with the water accumulation inside your air conditioner. If you see you are in an area with high humidity I would recommend the use of a dehumidifier. I hope this information is helpful. Enjoy though a few issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had a couple years now...when on Energy Saver set at 69 cools somewhat then shuts off though remote temp states 76? Also black spots can see black spots on back thru tbe front air flow vents whuch concerns me. Also changed battrries in remote but it is not corresponding. Cools well when run on cool, high.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit still cools really good after 5 hot summers, very happy accept... when outside temp. cools at night, after we put it in fan mode, it doesn't seem to pull in the nice, cooler outside air, even after I pull out the vent lever to fresh air. Not an issue, A/C cools GREAT !
I would recommend this to a friend!
