Soft lens

I've purchased Canon cameras since the advent of the digital age. I love the ease of use and overall design of the Canon Powershot cameras. The lenses in my last two Powershot cameras have been soft, however. The softness shows in the lower right quadrant. To the average point and shoot user this softness might not be a problem, but it has ruined too many of my still lives to count.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable
Cons: Poor image quality, soft lens
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very easy to use and reliable camera

I bought this camera for my mom a year or two ago. I went to a bunch of stores and did some research for her. Of all the cameras I saw at that time, this was, by far, the easiest to use. This was especially important as she is somewhat inept when it comes to technology. Even for someone like myself, who has a grasp on technological things, I would go with a camera like this one two. *The viewing screen is one of the largest on the market, which is a great plus. *There are only a couple buttons to work with, but it has as many features as other competitor's cameras. Other cameras tended to have a knob on the back with a bunch of different settings that I doubt the average person would care to use. This cut into the space that could be used fro more screen space. This camera had as many of those settings as competitors, but they were accessed differently, so as to keep things less cluttered. *Battery life has also been very good. We don't take many photos outside of birthdays, holidays, etc, and we've probably only charged the battery up to five times in the approximately two years we've had the camera. If I had expendable cash that I wanted to spend on a camera (I don't really take many pictures, myself), I would definitely buy this camera or possibly a similar Canon model. I have my own Canon Digital Rebel SRL which has been very reliable, but doesn't seem good as the kind of camera you want to carry with you to take pictures at holidays or vacations (because it's a kinda big professional camera). I can't say enough good things about this camera.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this camera for my wife and am disappointed with the indoor quality of the pictures. They are grainy and not very sharp.
The outdoor pictures are very good.
We take a lot of indoor family pictures and we have been very disappointed with their quality.
Pros: Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

I love my camera when it is not broken. I have sent it in twice and now the same thing has happened again. It won't turn on. I can hear a little piece rolling around inside of it. So, I am a bit frustrated. I do have children who have of course gotten their hands on it a few times but three times within 2 years is too many. I do love how small it is and it does take good pics.
Pros: easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: Flimsy Construction

My best friend

I got one of these cameras about two years ago and loved the heck out of it! It took amazing pictures and came with a rechargeable battery so no having to run to the store and buy batteries at the last minute! Not long after I got it, though, the screen cracked after falling on a chair, but it still worked and it wasn't a big deal for me. It finally quit working a few months ago after I knocked a cup of water over it. Unlike phones, you can't dry it out and use it again!
I guess I'll have to look for a camera that's better suited for my clumsiness this year!
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: Flimsy Construction
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another Cracked LCD

I originally bought a SD600 and after about a year of using the LCD cracked. Even though I kept it in a hardshell case. I thought I must have done something wrong. Went out and bought a SD750 and after 6 months or so the same thing happened. Is this a qualify control issue or am I missing something. Its very frustrating to take care of a camera and have two of them crack in the same manner.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: Flimsy Construction

We bought this camera a couple months before we got married. Rarely used. Brought it on our honeymoon and black screen. Not able to take shot for pictures. At least I have my memories because that camera certainly didn't do it.
